The Gaither Vocal Band performed this beautiful medley of their classic songs at the Dove Awards! They started with “There’s Something About That Name,” then they transitioned to “He Touched Me,” and ended with “Because He Lives.” It was a solid performance and watch how the live audience reacted! Well known Country Singer Willie Nelson performed this beautiful classic hymn “Just as I am” at Austin City Limits, 1976. This Hymn is very popular in Billy Graham Crusade every time Rev. Billy Graham invite people to make a commitment to follow Jesus. “Just As I Am” is a well-known hymn, written by Charlotte Elliott in 1835, first appearing in the Christian Remembrancer, of which Elliott became the editor in 1836.

Alan Jackson is truly an amazing country singer. He put life into the lyrics of this song entitled Blessed Assurance. This song is an old gospel hymn which conveys the only way to heaven: Jesus is the Way. The only assurance of our citizenship in heaven.

 
In the Book of Acts we read that about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
 
 
The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
 
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (Acts 16: 25-31) Believing is putting our trust in Jesus Christ. We fully surrender to Him all areas of our lives. It’s when we die to our fleshly nature when Jesus lives in us.

The Gaither Vocal Band is an American southern gospel vocal group, named after its founder and leader Bill Gaither. On March 1, 2017, it was announced that the Gaither Vocal Band lineup consisted of Reggie Smith, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Bill Gaither. Although the group started out recording contemporary Christian music in the 1980s, it became known for southern gospel after the popularity of the Gaither Homecoming videos.

The lineup of the band changes often, with artists leaving to work on solo careers, and new and old ones coming to replace them. Besides Bill Gaither, singers with the longest tenure in the band include Guy Penrod (1995–2008), Mark Lowry (1988–2002, 2009–13), Michael English (1985–94, 2009–13), David Phelps (1997–2005, 2009–17) and Wes Hampton (2005–present).
