Iconic Holywood Actor Tom Selleck Talks About His Faith in Christ

A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps!” This is the verse quoted by Tom Selleck as he openly declared that everything he achieved, he owes to Jesus!

Actor Tom Selleck is one of most successful actors in Hollywood history. For the last forty-five years of his career, his acting career inspired and captured the hearts of generations of movie fans. Tom Selleck is most known for starring as private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980–1988), as Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby, and as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan in Blue Bloods on CBS since 2010. Unknown to many, he has another story to tell, and that is: his faith in Jesus Christ.

“According to Tom, he has always tried to conduct himself in an ethical way, as that is what matters most. He attributes his fortune to Jesus Christ and strongly believes that although it is an individual’s heart that makes plans for a lifetime, it is the Almighty who guides him through them. He quoted the Bible and said: “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.” “I try very hard to conduct myself in an ethical way, because that’s important to my stability now” he added in his interview with New York Daily News.

Few of us are as good as we think we are; none of us are as good as we can be.” – Tom Selleck

I’ve learned by hanging out in Hollywood, where I disagree politically with most people, that most people’s hearts are in the right place, and the only thing we have to argue about is the way to solve the problems. – Tom Selleck

Freedom from Drugs and Alcohol Addiction – Wesley’s Testimony

There is power in testimony. It’s the real miracle that Jesus is continuously doing in the lives of many people today. Being changed to a new self and walk in the ways of God is the greatest success that people should experience. The Bible says: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old is gone. Behold, all things become new!” Watch this wonderful testimony of a young man.

“I had I had a lot of identity issues as a kid and you know get expelled from school by grade 8. In drugs and alcohol really heavily by like 14 or 15. I kept a lot of that life hidden from my parents my brothers. I lived that life at all my teenage years right up until the age of 17. And I got caught for doing a few things and and it was there that I had an encounter with God in jail. Just in a cell on my own. I remember being freezing cold. You know young indigenous kids are the highest suicide rates in jail and deaths in custody. I was scared. I was gonna hang myself or something so they took the drawstring out of my boxer shorts. I couldn’t even couldn’t even hold my own pants up and so I’m laying in there just rock bottom for me but I just found myself crying. And just calling out saying: “God if you’re real help me. Change me. I need need help.” God turned up that night. when I got let out, it was a miracle.”

“At The Cross” – A Beautiful Easter Christian Song Featuring Darlene Zschech

What is Easter?
It is the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection (“rise to life again”) from the Dead after being crucified. The New Testament teaches that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith. The resurrection established Jesus as the powerful Son of God and is cited as proof that God will judge the world in righteousness. God has given Christians “a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”. Christians, through faith in the working of God are spiritually resurrected with Jesus so that they may walk in a new way of life.

Celebrate Easter with this worship song At The Cross by Hillsong Church, Sydney, Australia.

Hillsong At The Cross

At The Cross
Artist: Hillsong Music Australia
(Lyrics)

Verse 1

Oh Lord You’ve searched me
You know my ways
Even when I fail You
I know You love me

Your holy presence
Surrounding me
In every season
I know You love me
I know You love me

Chorus
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your Glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now?

You go before me
You shield my way
Your hand upholds me
I know You love me

Chorus
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Your Glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now (x2)

You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done (x2)

And when the earth fades
falls from my eyes
You stand before me
I know You love me
I know You love me

Chorus
At the cross I bow my knee
Where Your blood was shed for me
There’s no greater love than this
You have overcome the grave
Glory fills the highest place
What can separate me now (x2)

You tore the veil
You made a way
When You said that it is done (x4)

Randy Travis – Three Wooden Crosses Live at Grand Ole Opry

Be blessed by this Number 1 Country Music Single of iconic country singer Randy Travis entitled Three Wooden Crosses. He performed this song live at the historic Grand Ole Opry stage. “Three Wooden Crosses” was named Song of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2003 and won a Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association as Country Song of the Year in 2004.

The song describes four passengers – a farmer on vacation, a teacher seeking higher education, a hooker, and a preacher, both of whom were “searching for lost souls,” on a mid-night bus traveling from the United States to Mexico. The bus is involved in a fatal accident when the bus driver doesn’t see a stop sign and the bus is hit by an 18-wheeler which kills three of the four passengers.

Three Wooden Crosses

Randy Travis

A farmer and a teacher, a hooker and a preacher
Ridin’ on a midnight bus bound for Mexico
One’s headed for vacation, one for higher education
And two of them were searchin’ for lost souls
That driver never ever saw the stop sign
And eighteen wheelers can’t stop on a dime

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there’s not four of them, Heaven only knows
I guess it’s not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It’s what you leave behind you when you go

That farmer left a harvest, a home and eighty acres
The faith and love for growin’ things in his young son’s heart
And that teacher left her wisdom in the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give ’em all a better start
And that preacher whispered, “Can’t you see the Promised Land?”
As he laid his blood-stained bible in that hooker’s hand

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there’s not four of them, Heaven only knows
I guess it’s not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It’s what you leave behind you when you go

That’s the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood-stained bible up
For all of us to see
He said “Bless the farmer, and the teacher, and the preacher
Who gave this Bible to my mama
Who read it to me”There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there’s not four of them, now I guess we know
It’s not what you take when you leave this world behind you
It’s what you leave behind you when you go

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway

The Night Before Easter Lyrics

Song by Gaither Vocal Band

The night was so different from all the rest
And a silence covers the Earth;
The stars have no glimmer, the moon tries to hide,
For in death lies the man of their birth.

Then a stone moves, the Earth shakes (and) birds start singing,
The sun shines, the Earth warms (for) new life it’s bringing;
A little boy stops crying, a mother is smiling,
For death could not hold their King

In a room filled with sorrow, a mother cries
For Jesus, her Son now is gone;
Her child sent from heaven was taken away,
Heart broken she feels all alone.

Then a stone moves, the Earth shakes (and) birds start singing,
The sun shines, the Earth warms (for) new life it’s bringing;
A little boy stops crying, a mother is smiling,
For death could not hold their King

At the feet of his mother a little boy cries
Saying “‘momma’ I don’t understand;”
I remember the look of love in His eyes,
That I saw, by the touch of His hand.

Then a stone moves, the Earth shakes (and) birds start singing,
The sun shines, the Earth warms (for) new life it’s bringing;
A little boy stops crying, a mother is smiling,
For death could not hold their King

The King of all ages, the Giver of life,
For a moment lies silent and still;
But a power sent from heaven comes breaking the night,
And death must bow to His will.

Then a stone moves, the Earth shakes (and) birds start singing,
The sun shines, the Earth warms (for) new life it’s bringing;
A little boy stops crying, a mother is smiling,
For death could not hold their King

Optional Ending:

When death could not hold their King.
