Come Aboard The Party Christmas Bus!

What a way to celebrate Christmas riding on a Christmas Bus! Yes, they are rolling here in Sydney, Australia. There are four of them operated by the Hills Bus. We chance upon the The Party Christmas Bus last Sunday afternoon. The other three buses are themed The Australian Christmas Bus, The Winter Wonderland Bus, and the Santa’s Cave Bus. These buses are definitely much better than the atheist buses to be launched in New Zealand! Not a joke.
T’was such a fantastic ride. My four-year-old son was so amazed and can’t control his mouth to say a big “wow!” Definitely, it did put smiles on our faces. We are quite pleased to see smiling faces of people hopping in on various bus stops. What an atmosphere of smiling people!  I say the Christmas Bus is one of the cleanest public buses we’ve boarded here in Sydney. It’s top of the class and it’s fully airconditioned. Good smell and absolutely clean. We really enjoyed the ride from the rolling hills and beautiful suburbs of Baulkhams Hills to Parramatta Train Station.
Want to experience riding any of these buses? Visit Hillsbus Christmas Buses for photos, timetables, and route information. Here are some of their customers’ feebacks:

“The Christmas buses are fun, fabulous and joyful, I absolutely loved it!”

“I just wanted to congratulate the individuals who decorated and brought Christmas spirit to this bus. I would like to thank Hillsbus for allowing this bus to be decorated for such a good cause…. This has been one of my best bus ride experiences ever and I thank you all for that.”
“Congratulations to the team that worked on the Xmas buses. I was on board the 711 bus and it looked remarkable! Well done… You did such a wonderful job that I would even sleep on the bus.”
“I love the Christmas Buses it completely brightened up my morning”
Behold, The Party Christmas Bus!

Go Tell it on the Mountain by Garth Brooks

Yes, I am a big fan of country music! Garth Brooks is an amazing country music singer and he dominates my music collections. This Christmas song “Go Tell It on the Mountains” is great for this season of joy, peace and love. It conveys the real meaning of Christmas. Be blessed!

Go Tell it on the Mountain

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

The shepherds all were watching
Over their sheep at night
When a guiding star shone from heaven
And the followed that holy light

Got tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born
They found a lovely manger
Where the humble Christ was born
And God sent out salvation
On that blessed Christmas morn

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

He brought with Him forgiveness
He live to show us the way
He came to redeem all creation
And to wash all our sins away

Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
That Jesus Christ is born

Invisible People

On the street I saw a small girl cold and shivering in a thin dress, with little hope of a decent meal. I became angry and said to God; “Why did you permit this? Why don’t you do something about it?” For a while God said nothing. That night he replied, quite suddenly:

“I certainly did something about it. I made you.”               – Invisible People

Another day, another discovery. What I found is a blog about “invisible people.” Do you know them? Have you seen one? You may say, “How can I see them if they are in fact “invisible”?” What a silly question! “No, sir. No, Madam.” The truth is, you have seen one. They are practically everywhere. They are people with stories to tell. They are people who are as precious as we are. They are people who exist. I’m not referring to a Hollow Man, a 2000 film that features Kevin Bacon in the title role as Sebastian Caine, a scientist who discovers a formula for invisibility. I’m referring to people who have names. Personally, I don’t know their names but this poem will help up to know them.

He Learned Their Names
Now I lay me down to sleep.
My bed will be the cold hard street.
I am not here because of choice.
I’ve lost my face. I’ve lost my voice.
I bow my head, chained down by shame.
Then along came one who learned my name.

He took my hand and helped me up.
He filled my soul when he filled my cup.
He asked me what I’d like to say
To those who’d never looked my way.

He didn’t ask who was to blame,
He just listened, yet I’m not the same.
I’m not invisible any longer.
My struggles, my story, have made me stronger.
I’m a father, a mother, a child, a wife
A husband, a daughter, a son… a life.
A once smoldering ash is now a flame.
All because he learned my name.

As we celebrate Christmas and New Year’s festivities, may we be mindful and compassionate to those who find themselves without a home this Christmas season, and beyond. Contact your local churches for various gift giving ministries serving the homeless or street people. Give to charities looking after the street people. No gift is too small nor to little. Together we can touch and change people lives. Let our lives be a blessing to the invisible people.
“Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.””Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me -Jesus”(Matthew 25:31-46)

Australian Idol Winner Stan Walker Sings and Tells His Amazing Grace

Stan Walker Amazing GraceI started using the gift God gave me – Stan Walker

I am not really a big fan of Australian Idol but that changed when I saw the journey of this young man named Stan Walker. Rarely in primetime reality show can we see highlights of a passion for christianity.  Stan Walker proved that his christian beliefs and his honest, real, and powerful life testimony made the difference for him to win the hearts of many Australians. It is truly amazing to hear Stan Walker sing. He engages audience with his soulful voice. He sings from the depths of his heart making every song he sings sounds to be his very own. His spirit flows in every note.
His performance of this famous hymn, Amazing Grace, is perhaps one of his best. Giving glory to God towards the end of his song is the most gallant and the most precious act he has done on a national television.

Idol’s Stan Walker: My childhood was like Once Were Warriors
Each time Australian Idol front-runner Stan Walker walks on stage to sing, the teen can’t help but marvel at the latest chapter of his life.
The Kiwi lad, who’s tipped to win the trans-Tasman singing competition, may be only 19, but already his story could be the script of a Hollywood film – one that strongly resembles the plot of Once Were Warriors. Like the Hekes, Stan’s childhood was filled with violence, alcohol and poverty.
‘My dad was an abusive man. He beat my mum and he beat us,’ reveals Stan, who grew up in Mt Maunganui and now lives in Coolangatta, Australia. ‘My parents were druggies, they drank a lot and had parties. I had no father figure.’ Read full story here

CBS's Frosty The Inappropriate Snowman a Disgrace

What would you do if you’ve got an RSS feed headline that says CBS’s ‘Frosty the Inappropriate Snowman’ Ad Riles Critics? I’m subscribed to FoxNews. The story says “A video advertisement on CBS’s Web site that “mashes” material from the iconic “Frosty the Snowman” Christmastime cartoon with two of the network’s comedy series is offensive and should be pulled, media analysts told FoxNews.com.”

Why is it offensive? I watched the clip and  apparently Frosty is talking about his “porn collection” while surrounded by crowds of smiling minors. Also, it has also filthy conversations about a strip club and boobs. Clearly, a publicity stunt. The cartoon is a voiceover from two of its dirty-minded sitcom characters played by Neil Patrick Harris and Charlie Sheen.

What on earth is going on? Will it bring good to our children? Do you want this to be viewed by millions of people around the world? Anyway, all I can say is this: “A man reaps what he sows.”

See for yourself. WARNING: Don’t let your kids watch this.
