Behold The Lamb of God – The Ministry of John The Baptist

Behold the Lamb of God john the Baptist and Jesus Christ

Behold, The Lamb of God

“This was the first gospel sermon, and it is a model for all preachers and teachers. The preacher pointed his own followers away from himself to Christ. This same beautiful unselfishness appears in all John’s course. He was only a voice, announcing the coming of a King. He was not that Light, but only one bearing witness of that Light. With throngs following him, the moment Jesus came John asked the throngs to leave him and go after Jesus. His whole ministry was simply a pointing of men to another.
This is what all Christian workers should do: they should preach and teach Christ, not themselves. They should not seek to win attention to themselves, but to get all to see Christ and to love him. Like John the Baptist, they should be willing to decrease that Christ might increase; they should be satisfied to fade away like the morning star in the brightness of the sun’s rising. Then this name by which John drew attention to Jesus is important. He called him the Lamb of God. This meant that Christ had come into the world not alone to be a teacher, but chiefly to be a sacrifice for the sin of the world, to die in the place of sinners. He was called a lamb, no doubt, because of his gentleness and meekness; but the principal reason was because he was to save us from our sins by bearing them himself. Just the day before this, John said of Jesus, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” Not only did he take our sin upon himself; he bore it away into eternal forgetfulness, to be remembered no more for ever. Now all who come to him are safe for ever from condemnation. Long ago their sins were laid on the atoning Lamb, and they will never have to be borne a second time. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.” – Dr. James R. Miller

MUST WATCH: Big Difference Between Christianity vs Other Religions

“Most religious groups have got their own set of rules. Most of the people in those groups think keeping our rules makes us righteous. Then they look at the people that keep a different set of rules and say, well ,they’re not really righteous because they’re not keeping our rules!”

The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality

(1 Corinthians 15:1-5 New King James Version (NKJV): “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”

The Changing Global Religious Landscape

Babies born to Muslims will begin to outnumber Christian births by 2035; people with no religion face a birth dearth

More babies were born to Christian mothers than to members of any other religion in recent years, reflecting Christianity’s continued status as the world’s largest religious group. But this is unlikely to be the case for much longer: Less than 20 years from now, the number of babies born to Muslims is expected to modestly exceed births to Christians, according to new Pew Research Center demographic estimates.

Muslims are projected to be the world’s fastest-growing major religious group in the decades ahead, as Pew Research Center has explained, and signs of this rapid growth already are visible. In the period between 2010 and 2015, births to Muslims made up an estimated 31% of all babies born around the world – far exceeding the Muslim share of people of all ages in 2015 (24%). In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song

Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone! – who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

Are you stuck at home in isolation because of the Corona Virus pandemic? Well, most of us are. But this worldwide health problem, that has caused a lot of death, closed a lot of schools, closed a lot stadium and entertainment centers, and closed a lot of churches, is just temporary! There is a silver lining that is waiting knowing that we have an Almighty Father who still in control and sits on His throne.

It did not stop these Nashville singers to collaborate and sing together while in isolation via mobile phone! Creativity at its finest in time of trials. They sang together a popular hymn ‘It is Well With My Soul” which is timely in this challenging times. God bless the heart of these studio artists! Well done!

When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soulIt is well
With my soul
It is well, it is well with my soulThough Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soulIt is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul

Ravi Zacharias: True Love in a Time of Crisis

“What is it about the Word of God that you and I need to know? Why is it that the Word of God gives us truths that will last forever? I stand before you at the age of 73, having criss-crossed this globe for nearly 50 years. Two years ago, I lost one of my colleagues in Nabil Qureshi at the age of 33. Toweringly-built man, and he sat across one day with me and told me, “I’ve just been diagnosed with stage four cancer.” I thought he was joking. Life is like a vapor, it’s here for a moment, and you’re gone. All the medals will come off. All the credentials won’t mean anything. The only thing that will abide then is, what does God think of you?” – Ravi Zacharias

Ravi Zacharias: True Love in a Time of Crisis

Ravi Zacharias Quotes:

Outside of the cross of Jesus Christ, there is no hope in this world. That cross and resurrection at the core of the Gospel is the only hope for humanity. Wherever you go, ask God for wisdom on how to get that Gospel in, even in the toughest situations of life.” – Ravi Zacharias

“I think the reason we sometimes have the false sense that God is so far away is because that is where we have put him. We have kept him at a distance, and then when we are in need and call on him in prayer, we wonder where he is. He is exactly where we left him.” – Ravi Zacharias

You can only learn so much from books. You can only learn so much from education. Ultimately, it is the wisdom of God that will carry you through in the toughest situations of life.” – Ravi Zacharias

Who is God? Who are we? What is our purpose? All these questions remain unanswered. I want to reach the genuine seeker of spiritual well-being. My goal is to satisfy the hunger and longing for those who are seeking the truth.” – Ravi Zacharias

Pleasure without God, without the sacred boundaries, will actually leave you emptier than before. And this is biblical truth, this is experiential truth. The loneliest people in the world are amongst the wealthiest and most famous who found no boundaries within which to live. That is a fact I’ve seen again and again.” – Ravi Zacharias

Only through repentance and faith in Christ can anyone be saved. No religious activity will be sufficient, only true faith in Jesus Christ alone.”- Ravi Zacharias

“The Christian faith, simply stated, reminds us that our fundamental problem is not moral; rather, our fundamental problem is spiritual. It is not just that we are immoral, but that a moral life alone cannot bridge what separates us from God. Herein lies the cardinal difference between the moralizing religions and Jesus’ offer to us. Jesus does not offer to make bad people good but to make dead people alive.” – Ravi Zacharias
