How Can I Overcome Anxiety, Fear, and Depression?

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

We cannot hide the fact that some people, even Christians, struggle and suffer depression and anxiety because of challenging situations they are facing. It’s a battle that they have to fight. Dr. Charles Stanley answers, discusses, and shares his insights on a viewer’s email asking “How can a Christian, overwhelmed by life’s difficulties, overcome depression and anxiety?” in his regular TV Program In Touch.

Dealing With Anxiety From A Christian Perspective

Dr. Charles F. Stanley, senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Atlanta and founder of In Touch Ministries, demonstrates a keen awareness of people’s needs by providing practical biblical truths for everyday life. Modeling his ministry after the apostle Paul’s message to the Ephesians, Dr. Stanley believes that: “Life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus–the work of telling others the Good News about God’s mighty kindness and love” (Acts 20:24, TLB).” Read more about Dr Charles Stanley on this link.

Dr Charles Stanley Talks on Walking in the Holy Spirit

Walking in the Holy Spirit Charles Stanley
Keep in Step with the Spirit

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,  idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another. (Galatians 5: 16:25)

Dr. Charles Stanley preached on Walking in the Holey Spirit. Who is the Holy Spirit? Why do we need to be led by the Holy Spirit? Why is it important to walk in the Holy Spirit? These are some of the important questions that are answered on this message. Please watch the video.

Wisdom in the Midst of Trials – Dr. Charles Stanley

Wisdom in the Midst of Trials Dr Charles Stanley

Are you going through trials in your life that you don’t understand? You don’t know why it had to happen to you? You look back and ask questions: What did I do to deserve this? And you can’t come up with answer. God, why did you allow this to happen in my life? And you can’t come with an answer. You want escape. You want freedom. You want these hurt, disappointments, hopelessness, and helplessness to go. You just want to be out of all these as quickly as possible! Do you think this is the will of God for you? Dr Charles Stanley points out that there is Wisdom in the midst of trial. Watch this message.

Wisdom in the Midst of Trials

A Heavenly Inheritance
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen[a] you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. – 1 Peter 1:3-9 NKJV
