Very Touching Song “Sinner Saved By Grace” Featuring The Cathedrals

Be blessed with one of the best renditions of the classic gospel song “Sinner Saved By Grace.” Performed by The Cathedrals, it is such a very touching song that really bring tears in our eyes. Praise for the gift of music.

The Cathedrals began in 1963 as a trio consisting of former California based Weatherford Quartet lead singer Glen Payne, tenor Bobby Clark, and baritone Danny Koker. The group became a quartet by adding Blue Ridge Quartet bass singer George Younce in 1964, which caused the newly formed quartet became even more popular. Later joined by Danny Funderburk, and then Kirk Young who was replaced by Ernie Haase. They became one of the most popular southern gospel groups and their persistence was rewarded when they won their first Grammy in 1977 for Best Gospel Performance. They repeated the feat in 1978, 1979 and 1982, as well as drawing a clutch of Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association. They also performed regularly at Bill Gaither’s Praise Gathering For Believers shows.

Sinner Saved by Grace Lyrics

Song by Gaither Vocal Band

If you could see
What I once was
If you could go with me
Back to where I started from
Then, I know you would see
A miracle of Love that put me
In it’s sweet embrace
And made me what I am today
Just an old sinner
Saved by grace

I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
When I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I live and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
Loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace

How could I boast on anything
I’ve ever seen or done
How could I dare to claim as mine
The victories God has won
Where would I be
Had God not brought me
Gently to this place
I’m here to say I’m nothing but
A sinner saved by grace

I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
When I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I grow and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I’m loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace

Now I grow and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I’m loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
Saved by grace

The Prodigal Son Lyrics

1. Like the prodigal son I wandered in darkness
And I traded my life for a world of good time
No peace in my heart I ever could find
And I got so tired feeding after the swine

(Chorus)
So I believe I’ll go home and eat with the Father
The table is spread and they’re waiting for me
I can see the Father coming out to greet me
“Lord I’m willing to be just a servant for Thee”

2. Like the prodigal son I wandered from Jesus
But the Good Shepherd saw through the heat and the cold
The ninety and nine He left in the fold
Just to find this lost sheep that was hungry and cold

We Shall See Jesus Lyrics

Once on a hillside, people were gathered
Hoping to see Him, as thousands were fed
He touched the blind eyes, healed broken spirits
He moved with compassion, while He raised up the dead

Once on a hillside, people were gathered
Watching as Jesus was crucified
No one showed mercy, to the one who had healed them
Yet, Jesus loved them, as He suffered and died

Once on a hillside, people were gathered
For Jesus had risen and soon would ascend
Then, as He blessed them, He rose to the heavens
And gave them His promise to come back again

We shall see Jesus, just as they saw Him
There is no greater promise than this
When He returns in power and glory
We shall see Jesus, we shall see Jesus, just as He is!

The Sweetest Song I Know Lyrics

Bill & Gloria Gaither

I’ve Heard Them Sing “He Paid The Price”
And “Jesus Bore It All”
I’ve Heard Them Sing “I’m Coming Home”
And “Hear The Master’s Call”
I’ve Heard Them Sing The Modern Songs
And Songs Of Long Ago
But “Amazing Grace, How Sweet The Sound”
Is The Sweetest Song I Know

Amazing Grace (Amazing Grace, How Sweet The Sound)
How Sweet The Sound (Oh How Sweet Is The Sound)
No Sweeter Song (Sweeter Song, Sweeter Song)
Could E’er Be Found (In This Life Could Be Found)
I’ve Heard Of A Fountain (Heard Of The Dear Savior’s Blood)
Filled With Blood (That Washed Us White, White As Snow)
But “Amazing Grace” (“Amazing Grace, How Sweet The Sound”)
Is The Sweetest Song I Know

It Was The Song My Momma Sang
In Sweet And Humble Voice
Like Music From The World Above
It Made My Soul Rejoice
Its Soothing Words And Melody
Like Rippling Waters Flow
Oh, “Amazing Grace, How Sweet The Sound”
Is The Sweetest Song I Know

Amazing Grace (Amazing Grace, How Sweet The Sound)
How Sweet The Sound (Oh How Sweet Is The Sound)
No Sweeter Song (Sweeter Song, Sweeter Song)
Could E’er Be Found (In This Life Could Be Found)
I’ve Heard Of A Fountain (Heard Of The Dear Savior’s Blood)
