Spiritual Authorities in High Places ( The Three Heavens )

This is a very interesting teaching about heavens as mentioned in the Bible. You must watch it to the end. It has to do when we pray and what happens in the heavenlies.

The Three Heavens

“Then the first heaven I would suggest could be the visible heaven that we see the Sun the moon and the stars. So in some way that there remains a second heaven which has never called the second heaven which is somewhere between the visible heaven and the heaven don’t speak personally. I believe that’s where Satan’s Kingdom is located. I have and let me just offer you this theory. Maybe you think I’m very naive but Ruth and I travel a lot by jet airplanes and recently on the way from New Zealand to Singapore, we were flying at an altitude of 39,000 feet which is a long long way up when I get that high. I sometimes have the feeling I am above Satan’s Kingdom it’s like it’s easy to pray you don’t have to fight your way through. Proposition now this this may be completely my subjective impression but somewhere or other between God and us is a hostile Kingdom which opposes us and seeks to hinder our prayers and that’s why sometimes we have to pray through understand. It’s not that we’re praying out of the will of God. it’s not that God is unwilling to hear but we have to penetrate a hostile Kingdom in the heavenlies to reach God. Now rather than speculate, I want to give you a passage from the book of Daniel which very clearly reveals that this is so. I’m not going to read the whole chapter but if you’re interested you would do well to read the chapter for yourself later. Daniel chapter 10 this chapter relates how Daniel set-aside appeared of three weeks for special prayer and he did what we’ve come to call it Daniel fast. He didn’t give up all food but he only ate the plainest and simplest food. And he drank no wine and he ain’t no meat. And he was mourning before God on behalf of his people Israel who were captives of a Gentile Empire. And at the end of three weeks, a very glorious angel came to him with the answer to his friend which was a revelation from God of what would be the future of his people which but the angel said to him. “The first day you began to pray your prayer was heard and I was sent with the answer to your prayer but he said it took me three weeks to get through because somewhere between the throne of God and Daniel on earth I was opposed by satanic angels and I had to force my way through those angels.” So it’s very clear that at the time of Daniel, somewhere between God’s throne and earth there was this satanic Kingdom I believe it’s still there it was still there.” – Derek Prince

Francis Chan Putting Eternity in Perspective

Francis Chan Putting Eternity in Perspective

Today, I came across this short clip of Pastor Francis Chan preaching about our current life here on Earth and what we expect in eternity. Francis Chan is an American preacher and he is former teaching pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Simi Valley, California, a church he and his wife started in 1994. He is also the Founder and Chancellor of Eternity Bible College. If you a book lover, he is the famous author of Crazy Love. This is a very interesting talk because it speaks to reality whether you are a believer or unbeliever. If we truly believe that the Bible is true, Francis Chan’s message challenges us where to focus our priorities here on Earth, while we are still alive. Shall we chase the things of this world or shall we invest in heavenly stuffs? The Bible has these verses that can expound this message. Matthew 6:19-24 says: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Pressing Toward the Goal

Philippians 3:12-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have [b]apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

If you want to read the transcript of the clip above, here it is:

Imagine this rope okay pretend this rope just goes on forever okay just imagination pretend it goes around the world few times it doesn’t it ends at the rock but let’s just imagine this thing goes on forever now imagine that this rope is a timeline of your existence you just exist forever you see this red part this would represent your time on earth you’ve got a few short years here on earth and then you’ve got all of eternity somewhere else this is this is your existence and what blows me away is some of you all you think about is this red part it’s all you think about you’re consumed with this you go oh man I can’t wait till here you know
I’m gonna work hard I’m gonna save save save so I can really enjoy this part right here and you’re consumed with that and you’re thinking oh man I’m gonna get to travel am I gonna eat well might do this during this part and I’m like are you kidding me what about this what about this what about what about all this stuff that says it’s crazy me cuz because the Bible teaches that what I do during this little red part determines how I’m going to exist for millions and millions and millions of years forever and and so why would I spend this little red part trying to make myself as comfortable as possible enjoying myself as much as I can

Paul says look I’m gonna live my life for this mission I’m gonna spend my life invest my life for this moment when I cross that finish line say I’m gonna forget about all this stuff I could enjoy and I’m not gonna look around I’m gonna be like a runner just looking at that moment when I face God because when I face him then I don’t get this chance over again we get one chance at this life on earth and it can end at any second for any of us we’ve got one chance at this and then comes eternity and I’m not gonna be fooled I’m not gonna spend my life down here see people look at some of my decisions go all your so stupid because that’s gonna really affect this I’m gonna know you’re stupid cuz it’s gonna affect all it is man, I’m serious I look I look at the way people live, and I go wow that is so crazy you are so crazy you’re gonna you’re gonna do that right now just to enjoy right now not even knowing if you have tomorrow and you think that’s smart and that I am done it doesn’t make any sense.

Paul goes I’m not gonna look around at all this stuff and it’s tempting it’s tempting to all of it that’s what I’m saying down here it’s crazy because everyone lives that way everyone lives for the red part no one’s thinking about the millions of years afterwards it’s it’s just a crazy deception that we can’t get out of our minds and Paul goes I’m not doing that because I keep my eyes on that I keep my eyes on that finish line and I’m gonna forget what’s behind me I’m not looking around I’m just gonna I’m straining because I’m straining for it I’m like stretching forward for that mark I’m gonna pass this thing I’m gonna live this out and I’m gonna face him I’m gonna come before the judges and he’s gonna hand me that trophy he was I’m gonna get and I haven’t gotten there yet he goes but I’ll you better believe I’m using every muscle exerting every bit about me because I’m gonna pass that line well.

Wisdom in the Midst of Trials Dr Charles Stanley

Are you going through trials in your life that you don’t understand? You don’t know why it had to happen to you? You look back and ask questions: What did I do to deserve this? And you can’t come up with answer. God, why did you allow this to happen in my life? And you can’t come with an answer. You want escape. You want freedom. You want these hurt, disappointments, hopelessness, and helplessness to go. You just want to be out of all these as quickly as possible! Do you think this is the will of God for you? Dr Charles Stanley points out that there is Wisdom in the midst of trial. Watch this message.

Wisdom in the Midst of Trials

A Heavenly Inheritance
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen[a] you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. – 1 Peter 1:3-9 NKJV

The Offence of the Cross – Dr. Billy Graham 1958 Crusade

quote Dr. Billy Graham 1958 CrusadeBe blessed by this timeless preaching by Dr. Billy Graham 1958 Crusade in San Francisco, California. Truly, the grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever!
Key verses 1 Corinthian 1:17-29:
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
That no flesh should glory in his presence.
