Knowing the Holy Spirit Quotes

Holy Spirit Quotes

The Holy Spirit is a person, the third person of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not a mystical force. It is not some vague, ethereal shadow, nor an impersonal force. The Holy Spirit is God himself. A divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will. He is a person equal in every way with the Father and the Son. All the divine attributes ascribed to the Father and the Son are equally ascribed to the Holy Spirit.

person of the Holy Spirit

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:11

The Holy Spirit quote Romans 8
Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
Psalm 139:7-8

Holy Spirit Quote

“Without the Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We are as ships without wind. We are useless.” – C.H. Spurgeon

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.John 16:13-14

The Holy Spirit Acts 1:8
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

Create In Me A Clean Heart

Does God allow second chance? If we commit the heaviest sin in our lives, is there hope of forgiveness? In Psalm 51, we reflect on David’s prayer when he committed an adulterous relationship with Batsheba to the point the he orchestrated the death of Uriah, a loyal soldier to him who is Bathseba’s husband.

Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just when You speak
And blameless when You judge.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

Pope Francis Condemns Christians Who try to Convert Unbelievers

“Never, never bring the gospel by proselytizing,” Pope Fracis said. “If someone says they are a disciple of Jesus and comes to you with proselytism, they are not a disciple of Jesus.”

This weekend, Pope Francis spoke to Catholic high school students about how to reach nonbelievers, stressing that Christians should live their faith out loud rather than trying to try to coerce people to convert.

“Pope Condemns Christians Who try to Convert Unbelievers” With Doug Batchelor (Amazing Facts)

Pope Francis invoked the crusades and conversion by the sword, calling it “shameful” and noting that Christians across the globe are similarly wrongly killed for their faith.

Pope Francis tells teens they’re not a ‘disciple of Jesus’ if they try to convert non-believers

ROME, December 23, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — In an apparent repudiation of the Great Commission to baptize and teach all nations (Matthew 28:16-20), Pope Francis has recently told a group of high school students in Rome that speech should never be used in order to convince a non-believer of the truths of the Catholic Faith.

Citing a fictional 11th century account of an episode of forced conversion, attributed to the eighth century emperor Charlemagne, Pope Francis implied that the belief that positive efforts should be made to convert non-Christians to the Gospel through argument entails coercion to the faith.

The Pope’s remarks came during a visit with students of Rome’s Pilo Albertelli classical secondary school on Friday, December 20. Continue reading at Pope Francis tells teens they’re not a ‘disciple of Jesus’ if they try to convert non-believers

What the Bible say:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. – Matthew 28:19-20

Tough Question: What Happens When I Die?

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing. 2 Tim 4:7-8

It is undeniable and with certainty that we all die. We just don’t know when. But what really happens when we die? What’s next after our life on earth ends?

Here is a short clip from PeacewithGod.net. It provides a clear idea on what’s ahead when we die.

What Happens When I Die?

Bible Verses About Death

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”Revelation 21:4 ESV

Are you ready for death

I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”

John 11:25-26

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”John 14:1-4 ESV

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.” – Romans 14:8 ESV

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:38-39

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better.” – Philippians 1:21-23

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” – Luke 23:43 ESV

“And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” – Job 1:21

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” – Psalm 73:25-26

So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.” – 2 Corinthians 5:6-8

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,  who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. – 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” – Philippians 3:20-21

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38-39

Come Boldly To The Throne of Grace

Come Boldly To The Throne of Grace

Come Boldly To The Throne of Grace!

“No judge or dissenter can thwart the sovereign purposes of a God who hears and answers the pleas of His people. Believers in Jesus Christ can come “boldly to the throne of grace” (Hebrews 4:16), now that His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection has atoned for sins and opened the way into His presence through faith in Him.” Franklin Graham (Praying Without Ceasing)
Yes Lord! In your freedom I will live. Thank you that I can boldly to your throne of grace made possible by your Son, my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I humbly offer my life to you. Guide me in all the days of my life.
