Holy Spirit Quotes

The Holy Spirit is a person, the third person of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is not a mystical force. It is not some vague, ethereal shadow, nor an impersonal force. The Holy Spirit is God himself. A divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will. He is a person equal in every way with the Father and the Son. All the divine attributes ascribed to the Father and the Son are equally ascribed to the Holy Spirit.

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. – 1 Corinthians 2:11

“ROME, December 23, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — In an apparent repudiation of the Great Commission to baptize and teach all nations (Matthew 28:16-20), Pope Francis has recently told a group of high school students in Rome that speech should never be used in order to convince a non-believer of the truths of the Catholic Faith.

Citing a fictional 11th century account of an episode of forced conversion, attributed to the eighth century emperor Charlemagne, Pope Francis implied that the belief that positive efforts should be made to convert non-Christians to the Gospel through argument entails coercion to the faith.
