He was featured together with his parents on NBC’s The Today Show to talk about the young preacher’s amazing talent. Whe his father was asked whether he thought Kanon has a true calling for ministry or if he was merely mimicking what he had seen from others, Kanon’s father, Pastor Damon Tipton, answered: “I think it’s a little of both … I do feel like the hand of God is on him in a special way.” Kanon is the third generation of preachers in his family, following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather. Glory to God! Preach it young man!!!

Christian life is not about playing it safe. It’s about living life on the edge. It’s about taking a leap of faith even when there’s no safety net in place. “Search Me O God,” is one of the most daring prayer that we can pray to the LORD. We must be prepared to be examined up to the deepest core and chambers of our heart so that God will expose it to us for any sin or iniquity. We cannot do this if we are self-righteous, self-exalting, and self-glorifying like the pharisees. There is nothing hidden in the eyes of God but we must be humble to ask Him and confess to Him our weaknesses, our guilt, or our shame. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let us be willing to admit and turn from our sins. Repent and be saved.
