The King Is Coming Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band, Bill & Gloria Gaither

The marketplace is empty
No more traffic in the streets
All the builders’ tools are silent
No more time to harvest wheat
Busy housewives cease their labors
In the courtroom no debate
Work on earth is all suspended
As the King comes thro’ the gate

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me

Happy faces line the hallways
Those whose lives have been redeemed
Broken homes that He has mended
Those from prison He has freed
Little children and the aged
Hand in hand stand all aglow
Who were crippled, broken, ruined
Clad in garments white as snow

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me

I can hear the chariots rumble
I can see the marching throng
The flurry of God’s trumpets
Spells the end of sin and wrong
Regal robes are now unfolding
Heaven’s grandstand’s all in place
Heaven’s choir now assembled
Start to sing “Amazing Grace”O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me

I COULD NEVER OUTLOVE THE LORD

by William and Gloria Gaither

1. There’ve been times when giving and loving brought pain,
And I promised I would never let it happen again.
But I found out that loving was well worth the risk,
And that even in losing, you win.

CHORUS:
I’m going to live the way He wants me to live,
I’m going to give until there’s just no more to give.
I’m going to love, love ’til there’s just no more love–
I could never, never out-love the Lord.

2. He showed us that only through dying we live,
And He gave when it seemed there was nothing to give;
He loved when loving brought heartache and loss,
He forgave from an old rugged cross.

“What Child is This?” – Powerful Christmas Duet of Andrea Bocelli with Mary J. Blige

This is a beautiful rendition of the famous song, What Child is This?, by one of todays top tenors, Andrea Bocelli. He performed this version with Mary J. Blige at The Kodak Theatre, USA. A Fantastic duet!

Merry Christmas everyone!

“What Child Is This?” is a Christmas carol whose lyrics were written by William Chatterton Dix, in 1865. At the time of composing the carol, Dix worked as an insurance company manager and had been struck by a severe illness. While recovering, he underwent a spiritual renewal that led him to write several hymns, including lyrics to this carol that was subsequently set to the tune of “Greensleeves”, a traditional English folk song. Although it was written in England, the carol is more popular in the United States than in its country of origin today.(Wikipedia)

What child is this, who, laid to rest,
On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring Him laud,
The babe, the son of Mary.
