Actor Kirk Cameron on Homosexuality, Gay Marriage, and Abortion

Kirk Cameron sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan last Friday and they discussed about Marriage, Homosexuality, and abortion. It drew so much attention on the media, the Gay & Lesbian people, internet blogs, Youtube, and other discussion sites.

I support Kirk Cameron‘s stand and I admire him for putting  a brave face in making his stand known in prime time television. Kirk Cameron is the lead actor in the film [amazon_link id=”B001KEHAFI” target=”_blank” ]Fireproof[/amazon_link]   and He is also an active Christian evangelist, currently partnering with Ray Comfort in the evangelical ministry The Way of the Master.

Actor Kirk Cameron on Homosexuality, Gay Marriage, and Abortion

On Marriage:

“I believe that marriage was designed by God a long time ago — marriage is almost as old as dirt and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve — one man, one woman for life till death do you part.” “I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage, and I don’t think anyone else should either so do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don’t.” – Kirk Cameron quote

On Homosexuality:

“I think that it’s unnatural, I think that it’s detrimental and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization” Kirk Cameron quote

On Abortion:

“Abortion is wrong in any circumstances. “I think that someone who is ultimately willing to murder a child, even to fix another tragic and devastating situation like rape or incest or things like that, is not taking the moral high road,” Cameron said. “I think that we’re compounding the problem by also murdering a little child.” Kirk Cameron quote

Powerful Hillsong Worship Song “You are Stronger”

You are Stronger Hillsong

You are stronger, Sin is broken, You have saved me
It is written, Christ is risen, Jesus You are Lord of all

As I was listening to this song, I remember a Bible verse that I often hear when I was still a new Christian.  I heard several preachers spoke about this verse and it echoed as soon as I hear this song from Hillsong Live entitled Stronger.  It’s actually a declaration. A prayer of faith in times of troubles, trials, and difficult times.  This verse is found in Psalm 28 the 7th verse and it says: “The LORD is my strength and my shield;  My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;  Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”

Indeed it’s a powerful worship song.  It’s beautiful chorus declares: “You are stronger! You are stronger!  Sin is broken You have saved me ; It is written  Christ is risen;  Jesus You are Lord of all!”

This song is from the Hillsong Live Album.

Can you be Gay and Christian?

Can you be gay and Christian?

Can you be gay and Christian? Comment Below.

Can you be gay and Christian? What does the Bible actually say? Did the biblical writers address loving, committed, same-sex relationships? In this “Consider This” episode Dr. Brown tackles this controversial issue.

Bible Verses on the Topic of Homosexuality

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. – Leviticus 18:22 (NKJV)

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

The law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, men who practise homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine. (1 Timothy. 1:9-10)

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:26-27 ESV

Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. Jude 1:7 ESV

Should We Pray for the Dead?

Should We Pray for the Dead.

We often read or hear people say “pray for the soul of so and so that he/she may rest in peace.” Can we do it really? Is there such thing as praying for the dead so his/her soul will go to heaven? Would this be false hope given that God give us free will to choose to follow Him or not while we are alive?

Dr Charles Stanley discusses this burning question based on the Bible. Pay attention to this clip because this a matter of life and death.

Charles Stanley: Should We Pray for the Dead

The Rich Man and Lazarus

Luke 16:19-31 NIV
19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”
