Legendary and Award Winning Country Music Artist Merle Haggard did a wonderful version of this timeless gospel hymn, One Day at a Time. Such a blessing to hear a gospel song from a man who may have messed up in the past. His voice conveys a heart that is healed and brings a powerful message out this song. Indeed, we are only human who can easily fall, but we have a perfect Savior, Jesus Christ, who can emphatize with us as long as we continue to trust and follow Him. Be blessed.
I’m only human I’m just a man Help me to believe in what I could be and all that I am Show me the stairway that I have to climb Lord for my sake teach me to take one day at a time One day at a time sweet Jesus that’s all I’m asking from you Give me the strength to do everyday what I have to do Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine So for my sake teach me to take one day at a time
Do you remember when you walked among men Well Jesus you know if you’re looking below it’s worse now than then Pushing and shoving crawding my mind So for my sake teach me to take one day at a time One day at a time sweet Jesus that’s all I’m asking from you Give me the strength to do everyday what I have to do Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine Yes just for my sake teach me to take one day at a time
This is a beautiful hymn that I want to listen to again and again. “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” is a Christian hymn written by the 18th century pastor and hymnist Robert Robinson. Robert Robinson penned the words at age 22 in the year 1757. Watch this beautiful rendition of this song by gospel artist Buddy Green.
About Buddy Greene
Buddy Greene has been performing for audiences since the tender age of ten, but his first big break came when, as a young man, he landed a position in country superstar Jerry Reed’s band. As rhythm guitarist, singer, and harmonicist, Buddy’s four year stint with Reed proved to be the ideal apprenticeship that included appearing on numerous TV shows and recordings as well as touring extensively throughout the country. He is a featured performer with gospel greats Bill and Gloria Gaither. Over the last 30+ years, Buddy has performed across America, made numerous trips abroad, and released twenty recording projects. His album Sojourner’s Song won the Gospel Music Association’s Dove award for Best Country Album, and he has received 9 other Dove award nominations. Through his long association with the Gaithers, he has become a favorite gospel performer, appearing often on the Gaither’s popular Homecoming video series. ( Credits Buddy Greene official site)
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above. Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it, Mount of Thy redeeming love.
Sorrowing I shall be in spirit, Till released from flesh and sin, Yet from what I do inherit, Here Thy praises I’ll begin; Here I raise my Ebenezer; Here by Thy great help I’ve come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure, Safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger, Wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, Interposed His precious blood; How His kindness yet pursues me Mortal tongue can never tell, Clothed in flesh, till death shall loose me I cannot proclaim it well.
O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be! Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, Bind my wandering heart to Thee. Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.
O that day when freed from sinning, I shall see Thy lovely face; Clothed then in blood washed linen How I’ll sing Thy sovereign grace; Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, Take my ransomed soul away; Send thine angels now to carry Me to realms of endless day.
Words: Robert Robinson, 1758; appeared in his A Collection of Hymns Used by the Church of Christ in Angel Alley, Bishopgate, 1759. Music: Nettleton, Wyeth’s Repository of Sacred Music, Part Second, by John Wyeth, 1813 (MIDI, score).

Stuart Townend’s “How Deep the Father’s Love For Us” stands as a poignant and moving hymn that captures the essence of Christian devotion and the depth of God’s love. Written in 1995, this song has resonated with worshipers around the globe, drawing them into a profound reflection on the sacrificial love demonstrated through Jesus Christ. The lyrics eloquently articulate the pain and redemption found in the Gospel, exposing the depth of the Father’s heart and the costly grace that defines the Christian faith. How Deep the Father’s Love For Us Lyrics
How deep the Father’s love for us, How vast beyond all measure, That He should give His only Son To make a wretch His treasure. How great the pain of searing loss – The Father turns His face away, As wounds which mar the Chosen One Bring many sons to glory.
Behold the man upon a cross, My sin upon His shoulders; Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Call out among the scoffers. It was my sin that held Him there Until it was accomplished; His dying breath has brought me life – I know that it is finished.
I will not boast in anything, No gifts, no power, no wisdom; But I will boast in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection. Why should I gain from His reward? I cannot give an answer; But this I know with all my heart – His wounds have paid my ransom.

I was walkin’ home from school On a cold winter day, Took a short cut through the woods And I lost my way. It was gettin’ late, and I was scared and alone. Then a kind old man took my hand, and led me home. Mama couldn’t see him, But he was standing there, And I knew in my heart He was the answer to my prayer.
Oh, I believe there are Angels Among Us, Sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me in our darkest hours To show us how to live To teach us how to give To guide us with a light of love.
When life held troubled times And had me down on my knees There’s always been someone To come along and comfort me A kind word from a stranger To lend a helping hand A phone call from a friend Just to say I understand Now ain’t it kind of funny At the dark end of the road Someone light the way with just a single ray of hope.
Oh, I believe there are Angels Among Us, Sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me in our darkest hours To show us how to live To teach us how to give To guide us with a light of love.
They wear so many faces, Show up in the strangest places And grace us with their mercies in our time of need.
Oh, I believe there are Angels Among Us, Sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me in our darkest hours To show us how to live To teach us how to give To guide us with a light of love. To guide us with a light of love

Randy Travis did a great version of this classic gospel song. He is such a great country singer! “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” is a traditional gospel song that has been performed and recorded by many artists. The lyrics were inspired by the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:7 which says: “We walk by faith, not by sight,” and James 4:8 which says: “Come near to God and He will come near to you.” Be blessed!
I am weak but Thou art strong Jesus keep me from all wrong I’ll be satisfied as long as I walk Dear Lord, close to Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee Grant it Jesus, is my plea Daily walkin’ close to Thee Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
Through this world of toils and snares If I falter Lord, who cares? Who with me my burden shares? None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.
Just a closer walk with Thee Grant it Jesus, is my plea Daily walkin’ close to Thee Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
When my feeble life is o’er And time for me will be no more Guide me gently, safely o’er To Thy kingdom dear Lord, to Thy shore.
Just a closer walk with Thee Grant it Jesus, is my plea Daily walkin’ close to Thee Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.
