“How Deep The Father’s Love” – Passionate Worship by Celtic Worship

Love and Joy Perfected

“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.  You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.  These things I command you, that you love one another. – Jesus Christ (John 15:9-17 NKJV)

How Deep the Father’s Love For Us

How Deep the Father’s Love for Us Lyrics

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure!
That He should give His only Son,
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss!
The Father turns His face away;
As wounds which marred the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

How deep the Father’s love for us,
How vast beyond all measure!
That He should give His only Son,
To make a wretch His treasure.
How great the pain of searing loss!
The Father turns His face away;
As wounds which marred the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory.

Behold the man upon a cross:
My sin upon His shoulders;
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers.
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished;
His dying breath has brought me life:
I know that it is finished.

I will not boast in anything:
No gifts, no power, no wisdom;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ:
His death and resurrection.
Why should I gain from His reward?
I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart:
His wounds have paid my ransom.

Why should I gain from his reward?
I cannot give an answer;
But this I know with all my heart:
His wounds have paid my ransom.

Jesus Is The Way

I’m featuring today a well written devotional by Bob Gass. Please read below after my personal reflections. It’s a very timely message and conveys a short but clear message. Jesus is The Way. When I was still tied up with religion, John 14:6 seems to be unrecognizable and doesn’t do much impact on me. Not until I discover the message of the cross and what Christianity has to offer that this verse deeply impacted me and turn my life around. You see, man-made religion put people to captivity of various rules, traditions, and rituals to follow. These religions impressed upon people about a God that is far and beyond reach. Religion keeps looking and searching for God! It’s entirely the reverse of Christianity where God is looking for His lost sons and daughters. Christianity  is about personal relationship to an all knowing, all powerful, and everliving, and loving God. Christianity kindles the passion to discover our Creator and a life that is focussed to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Every word of the Bible comes alive. A very famous evangelist said that “unless a man be born again, he will never understand the Bible.” That really make sense to me, that unless we study God’s Word, we will never understand the Kingdom of God. Today is the acceptable the day of the Lord! That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Receive Jesus Christ, turn away from your sins and surrender your life to Him. Make Him your Lord and Saviour! and surely He will guide you all the days of your life. I say, that is your greatest miracle.

I am the way… John 14:6 NKJV

Judaism sees salvation as a judgement day decision based on morality. Hindus anticipate multiple reincarnations in the soul’s journey through the cosmos. Buddhism guides your life according to the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eight-fold Path. Muslims earn their way to Allah through the Five Pillars of Faith. Many philosophers deem life after death as hidden and unknown, ‘a great leap in the dark.’ Some people clump Christ with Moses, Mohammad, Confucius, and other spiritual leaders. ‘Jesus said… “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”‘ John 14:6 (NKJV).

Many object, ‘All roads lead to heaven.’ But how can they? Buddhists look toward Nirvana, achieved after no less than 547 reincarnations. Christians believe in one life, one death, and an eternity of enjoying God. Humanists don’t acknowledge a creator of life. Jesus claims to be the source of life. Spiritualists read your palms. Christians consult the Bible. Hindus perceive a plural and impersonal God. Christ-followers believe ‘there is only one God’ (1 Corinthians 8:4 NLT).

Every non-Christian religion says, ‘You can save you.’ Jesus says: ‘My death on the cross saves you.’ All roads don’t lead to London, all ships don’t sail to Australia, and all flights don’t land in Rome. Every path does not lead to God. Jesus blazed a stand-alone trail void of self-salvation. He cleared a one-of-a-kind passageway uncluttered by human effort. He offers us a unique invitation in which He works and we trust, He dies and we live, He invites and we believe. ‘”The work God wants you to do is this: Believe the One he sent”‘ (John 6:29 NCV).

Jesus is the Way!
Jesus is the Truth!
Jesus is the Life!

Tell Someone About Jesus

Tell Someone about Jesus

A woman of Samaria came to draw water… John 4:7 NKJV

John records, ‘A woman of Samaria came to draw water.’ After five failed marriages her trust levels are demolished and her self-worth is zero, so she approaches Jesus cautiously. Brick by brick He takes down the wall she’s hiding behind. When He gets through, she leaves transformed. What a contrast: one chapter earlier, Nicodemus, a religious leader, came to Jesus by night, suggesting he didn’t want to risk being seen with Him. After telling him he must be born again, Jesus said, ‘… Whoever lives by the truth comes into the light… ‘ (John 3:21 NIV). At that point, Nicodemus has to make a choice. There are three lessons here:

1) Christ sees potential in you when others don’t. ‘… The Pharisees… complained, saying, ‘This Man receives sinners and eats with them” (Luke 15:2 NKJV). They were right! This woman was the first person Jesus introduced Himself to as the Messiah. Why didn’t He do that when He called His disciples, baptised John, cleansed the temple, performed His first miracle, or interviewed Nicodemus? Because Jesus doesn’t measure you by your past, He measures you by your potential.

2) Christ will change you, then use you to change others. Amazingly, she was the first person to preach the gospel in Samaria. ‘… Many… Samaritans… believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified… ‘ (John 4:39 NKJV).

3) Christ doesn’t need to be defended, just introduced. ‘… Many more believed because of His own word. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world”‘ (John 4:41-42 NKJV). Today, tell someone about Jesus.

Sweet Aroma Serving Christ

There is a sweet smelling aroma in serving Christ!

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?” – 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 NASB

Our Lord Jesus offers us victory 24 hours, 7 days a week, always and forever! God leads us into victory and and gives us a sweet smelling aroma of knowledge of Him everywhere! This aroma brings fragrance of Christ in us that brings life to people around us who loves Christ and death to those who rejects Christ. This is the God we worship! He does not play favorites whether you are young or old, black or white, rich or poor. He treats us equally. Either we can have this sweet smelling aroma or we reject it and keep our foul odor.

In a very filthy prison, Paul was rejoicing every time. God is producing a sweet aroma in Paul. In the middle of night, He and Silas were singing their hearts out to the LORD. They don’t care what the other prisoners and the guards will say. They just allow this sweet smelling aroma of Christ in them to spread it’s fragrance. And it accomplished it’s purpose!

Let us read these biblical accounts in Acts 16:25-38:

25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. 28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”

29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

We need this sweet smelling aroma of Christ as a vocal witness for Him. As pilgrims of this world, we are surrounded by people who are hungry for Christ and those who reject Christ. We have a responsibility to reach out and lead people to a life of triumph and victory.

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”
Philippians 4:4 NASB

Do You Live for Eternity?

Is the life that you are living now have eternal significance? Is it worth the life of Jesus Christ when He died for you? Are you prepared to stand confidently before the judgment seat of God? These are tough questions to ask but these serve as alarm when you are slumbering, carousing, or overwhelmed by the cares of this world. In Luke 21:34 (NKJV) it says: “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.” And in Romans 13:13, it carries the same warning saying: “Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.”

Live for Eternity Bible Verses

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.Ecclesiastes 3:11 ESV

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.Isaiah 57:15 ESV

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.John 14:2-3 NKJV

Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.John 5:24 ESV

Live for Eternity Quote:

These olympians, how, how majestic they are, but only for a moment. They start training when they are four and five years old, they never do anything but train until they’re twenty-two, they run a nine-second race for a medal they hang up and that’s it! – Paul Washer
