Why The World Hates Christians? There is so much persecution of Christians this days! Today, I stumbled to this preaching of the late David Wilkerson. He was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade. I must confess that after I read his book, I am deeply impacted of his heart for Christ. What a faithful servant of God he was. Again, with this preaching, “Why The World Hates Christians,” I found encouragement and inspiration. I encourage you to watch the full video below and make sure you SHARE to people you care who might be needing to hear this message. – Thor
This is a documentary film by Open Doors USA. It records how Fulani militants are squeezing and attacking Christians in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region. Nigeria is #14 on the annual World Watch List, and some of these attacks help explain that ranking. Religion is playing an important part in the many violent attacks against Christians. They burn and destroy churches. They burn houses that belong to Christians. They burn an entire village and people are fleeing for safety. What does the government of Nigeria doing to protect these persecuted Christians? What can we do as christians around the world? Watch the video below.
Seemingly Constant Violence
Pray for Nigeria
- Pray for Christians in the middle of Nigeria, who are facing increased hostility and attacks from Fulani militants.
- Sharia law has been implemented in 12 northern states and Christians there face marginalization and discrimination. Pray that these Christians would not be discouraged. Pray they will not be tempted to give up the faith in pursuit of an easier life.
- Pray for Fulani militants, the members of Boko Haram and other extremist groups. Pray that God will touch their hearts with His truth.

“Therefore my beloved, just as always you have obeyed, not only as in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.” – Philippians 2:12-13
Work Out Your Own Salvation – Pastor David Jeremiah
Matthew Henry Commentary Philippians 2:12-18: “We must be diligent in the use of all the means which lead to our salvation, persevering therein to the end. With great care, lest, with all our advantages, we should come short. Work out your salvation, for it is God who worketh in you. This encourages us to do our utmost, because our labour shall not be in vain: we must still depend on the grace of God. The working of God’s grace in us, is to quicken and engage our endeavours. God’s good-will to us, is the cause of his good work in us. Do your duty without murmurings. Do it, and do not find fault with it. Mind your work, and do not quarrel with it. By peaceableness; give no just occasion of offence. The children of God should differ from the sons of men. The more perverse others are, the more careful we should be to keep ourselves blameless and harmless. The doctrine and example of consistent believers will enlighten others, and direct their way to Christ and holiness, even as the light-house warns mariners to avoid rocks, and directs their course into the harbour. Let us try thus to shine. The gospel is the word of life, it makes known to us eternal life through Jesus Christ. Running, denotes earnestness and vigour, continual pressing forward; labouring, denotes constancy, and close application. It is the will of God that believers should be much in rejoicing; and those who are so happy as to have good ministers, have great reason to rejoice with them.”
