WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS Lyrics

WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
BRING ALL YOUR TROUBLES
TAKE OFF YOUR HEAVY SHOES
TIRED OF THE HUSTLE
LET IT WASH AWAY YOUR BLUES

WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WADE IN THE WATER
STEP OFF THE DUSTY GROUND
IF IT GETS HOTTER
YOU CAN COOL YOUR SPIRIT DOWN

FLOW FROM HEAVEN
FLOW DOWN OVER ME

WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE THERE IS HEALING
FOR EVERY WOUNDED SOUL
LOST IN THE FEELING
LET THE MIGHTY RIVER ROLL

FLOW FROM HEAVEN
FLOW DOWN OVER ME

WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE, WHERE, WHERE, WHERE (cascade) THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE, WHERE, WHERE, WHERE (cascade) THE RIVER FLOWS
WHERE THE RIVER FLOWS

“His Eyes On the Sparrow” – Michael English, Lillie Knauls, Jessy Dixon, Larnelle Harris

His Eyes On the Sparrow” The theme of the song is inspired by the words of David in the Psalms and Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew in the Bible: “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalm 32:8). “Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26) and “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:29–31). Be blessed by Michael English, Lillie Knauls, Jessy Dixon, and Larnelle Harris as they communicate this message in a beautiful song.

The Gaither Vocal Band is an American southern gospel vocal group, named after its founder and leader Bill Gaither. On March 1, 2017, it was announced that the Gaither Vocal Band lineup consisted of Reggie Smith, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Bill Gaither. Although the group started out recording contemporary Christian music in the 1980s, it became known for southern gospel after the popularity of the Gaither Homecoming videos.

The lineup of the band changes often, with artists leaving to work on solo careers, and new and old ones coming to replace them. Besides Bill Gaither, singers with the longest tenure in the band include Guy Penrod (1995–2008), Mark Lowry (1988–2002, 2009–13), Michael English (1985–94, 2009–13), David Phelps (1997–2005, 2009–17) and Wes Hampton (2005–present). His Eye Is On The Sparrow

Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heaven, heaven and home,
When, when Jesus is my portion,
My constant Friend is He;
Oh, oh-oh, his eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watched, watched it over me.

I sing because I’m happy (happy)
I sing because I’m free (free free free)
For His eye, his eye is on the sparrow,
And I know, I know He watches over me.

I Bowed On My Knees Lyrics

Gaither Vocal Band

I dreamed of a city called Glory,
So bright and so fair.
When I entered the gates I cried, “Holy”
The angels all met me there.
They carried me from mansion to mansion,
And oh, the sights I saw,
Then I said, “I want to see Jesus,
‘Cause He’s the One who died for all!”

I bowed on my knees and cried,
“Holy, Holy, Holy.”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory,
Glory to the Son of God.”

Then as I entered the gates of that city,
My loved ones all knew me well.
They took me down the streets of Heaven;
Oh, the scenes were too many to tell;
I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac,
I talked with Mark and Timothy.
Oh, but I said, “I want to see Jesus,
The One who died for me!”
Oh, I bowed on my knees and cried,
“Holy, I cried Holy, I cried Holy.”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I sang, “Glory to the Son of God.”

Remind Me, Dear Lord

The things that I love
I hold dear to my heart
They are borrowed and
Not mine at all
Jesus only let me use them
To brighten my life
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Roll back the curtain of memory now and then
Show me where you brought me from and
Where I could have been
Just remember I’m a human and human’s forget
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Nothing good have I done
To deserve God’s own Son
I’m not worthy of the scars
In His hands
Yet he chose the road to Calvary
To die in my stead
Why He loved me I can’t understand

Roll back the curtain of memory now and then
Show me where you brought me from and
Where I could have been
Just remember I’m a human and human’s forget
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Just remember I’m a human and human’s forget
So remind me, remind me dear Lord

Then Came the Morning

Guy Penrod

They all walked away, nothing to say
They’d just lost their dearest friend
All that He said, now He was dead
So this was the way it would end

The dreams they had dreamed were not what they’d seemed
Now that He was dead and gone
The garden, the jail, the hammer, the nail
How could a night be so long?

Then came the morning
Night turned into day
The stone was rolled away
Hope rose with the dawn

Then came the morning
Shadows vanished before the sun
Death had lost and life had won
For morning had come

The angel, the star, the kings from afar
The wedding, the water, the wine
Now it was done, they’d taken her Son
Wasted before His time

She knew it was true, she’d watched Him die too
She’d heard them call Him just a man
But deep in her heart she knew from the start
Somehow her Son would live again

Then came the morning
Night turned into day
The stone was rolled away
Hope rose with the dawn

Then came the morning
Shadows vanished before the sun
Death had lost and life had won
For morning had come

Then came the morning
Shadows vanished before the sun
Death had lost and life had won
For morning had come
For morning had come
