More often than not, we are faced with so many tasks that we can not figure out how to be more effective and efficient in our ministries. Sometimes there is just too much in our plates that we begin to run out of strength and become weary. As leaders, people have their eyes on us. If we are not careful of looking after ourselves, our attitudes, our work ethics, and how enthusiastic we are on what we do, we must sit down and reflect and refocus ourselves.

“The love of God and the grace of Christ
And fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with you, be with you all,
Be with you all, be with you all.

From the throne of our God and the Lamb
Flows a river of water of life,
Bright as crystal, reaching man.”

(The Love of God and the Grace of Christ Hymn)

The Difference (No Time To Pray)

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered; He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me – He said, “But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

Bill Hybels: The Life Cycle of a Leader

Bill Hybels, the founding and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, shares his leadership secrets in this video. He discussed various characteristics and attributes of people who are worthy to be part of the leadership role in ministry. “It takes a leader to grow a leader.”- Bill Hybels

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. – 1 Corinthians 12:12-14
