Bill Hybels Speaks on How to Stay Replenished in the Kingdom of God

This is one of the leadership talks that every leader should watch and digest the thoughts shared by Pastor Bill Hybels, founding and senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, one of the most attended churches in North America, with an average attendance of nearly 24,000 as of 2011.

More often than not, we are faced with so many tasks that we can not figure out how to be more effective and efficient in our ministries. Sometimes there is just too much in our plates that we begin to run out of strength and become weary. As leaders, people have their eyes on us. If we are not careful of looking after ourselves, our attitudes, our work ethics, and how enthusiastic we are on what we do, we must sit down and reflect and refocus ourselves.

“The love of God and the grace of Christ
And fellowship of the Holy Spirit
Be with you, be with you all,
Be with you all, be with you all.

From the throne of our God and the Lamb
Flows a river of water of life,
Bright as crystal, reaching man.”

Bill Hybels - Coffee with God

The Difference (No Time To Pray)

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered; He answered, “You didn’t ask.”

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me – He said, “But you didn’t seek.”

I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”

I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.
