Very Touching Song “Sinner Saved By Grace” Featuring The Cathedrals

Be blessed with one of the best renditions of the classic gospel song “Sinner Saved By Grace.” Performed by The Cathedrals, it is such a very touching song that really bring tears in our eyes. Praise for the gift of music.

The Cathedrals began in 1963 as a trio consisting of former California based Weatherford Quartet lead singer Glen Payne, tenor Bobby Clark, and baritone Danny Koker. The group became a quartet by adding Blue Ridge Quartet bass singer George Younce in 1964, which caused the newly formed quartet became even more popular. Later joined by Danny Funderburk, and then Kirk Young who was replaced by Ernie Haase. They became one of the most popular southern gospel groups and their persistence was rewarded when they won their first Grammy in 1977 for Best Gospel Performance. They repeated the feat in 1978, 1979 and 1982, as well as drawing a clutch of Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association. They also performed regularly at Bill Gaither’s Praise Gathering For Believers shows.

Sinner Saved by Grace Lyrics

Song by Gaither Vocal Band

If you could see
What I once was
If you could go with me
Back to where I started from
Then, I know you would see
A miracle of Love that put me
In it’s sweet embrace
And made me what I am today
Just an old sinner
Saved by grace

I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
When I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I live and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
Loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace

How could I boast on anything
I’ve ever seen or done
How could I dare to claim as mine
The victories God has won
Where would I be
Had God not brought me
Gently to this place
I’m here to say I’m nothing but
A sinner saved by grace

I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
When I stood condemned to death
He took my place
Now I grow and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I’m loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace

Now I grow and breathe in freedom
With each breath of life I take
I’m loved and forgiven
Backed with a living
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
Saved by grace
