Count On Me Lyrics

Song by Guy Penrod

I may not have the answers
To the questions that you face
I may not be the one to drive away your fears
My list of imperfections is too long to erase
But you have my word
I will be here

Count on me
In this world of shifting sand
Count on me
When you need a steady hand
I will work and pray
Mean what I say
And live unselfishly
Right the wrong
Standing strong
You can count on me

Oh, Lord I know sometimes it seems
There’s not much I can do
I’m not a hero or a name
But I’m a house upon a rock
When I rely on You
A constant friend
Whose promise will not change

Count on me
In this world of shifting sand
Count on me
When you need a steady hand
I will work and pray
Mean what I say
And live unselfishly
Right the wrong
Standing strong
You can count on me

Count on me
In this world of shifting sand
(Woah) Count on me
When you need a steady hand
I will work and pray (I’ll work and pray)
Mean what I say (Woah)
And live unselfishly
Right the wrong
Standing strong
You can count on me

Count on me
In this world of shifting sand
(Oh) Count on me
When you need a steady hand (when you need a steady hand)
I will work and pray (I’ll work and pray)
Mean what I say
And live unselfishly
Right the wrong
Standing strong
You can count on me (Oh)

Right the wrong
Standing strong
You can count on me

He Hideth My Soul Lyrics

A wonderful saviour is Jesus my Lord
A wonderful Saviour to me
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
Where rivers of pleasure I see

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land
He hideth my life in the depths of his love
And covers me there with his hand
And covers me there with his hand

A wonderful Saviour is Jesus my Lord
He taketh my burden away
He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved
He giveth me strength as my day

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land
He hideth my life in the depths of his love
And covers me there with his hand
And covers me there with his hand

When clothed in His brightness
Transported I rise
To meet Him in Clouds of the sky
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love
I’ll shout with the millions on high

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land
He hideth my life in the depths of his love
And covers me there with his hand
And covers me there with his hand

The Ninety And Nine

There were ninety and nine that safely
lay
In the shelter of the fold;
But one was out on the hills away,
Far off from the gates of gold.
Away on the mountains wild and bare;
Away from the tender Shepherd’s
care.
“Lord, Thou hast here Thy ninety and
nine;
Are they not enough for Thee?”
But the Shepherd made answer: “This
of Mine
Has wandered away from Me.
And although the road be rough and
steep,
I go to the desert to find My sheep.”
But none of the ransomed ever knew
How deep were the waters crossed;
Nor how dark was the night the Lord
passed through
Ere He found His sheep that was lost.
Out in the desert He heard its cry;
‘Twas sick and helpless and ready to
die.
“Lord, whence are those blood-drops
all the way,
That mark out the mountain’s track?”
“They were shed for one who had
gone astray
Ere the Shepherd could bring him
back.”
“Lord, whence are Thy hands so rent
and torn?”
“They’re pierced tonight by many a
thorn.”
And all through the mountains,
thunder-riv’n,
And up from the rocky steep,
There arose a glad cry to the gate of
heav’n,
“Rejoice! I have found My sheep!”
And the angels echoed around the
throne,
“Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His
own!”
