“Leaning On the Everlasting Arms” Gaither Homecoming Featuring Buddy Greene, Jeff & Sheri Easter and Charlotte Ritchie

When it comes to uplifting music that speaks to the soul, few events capture the essence quite like the Gaither Homecoming concerts. One such gem in their lineup is “Leaning On the Everlasting Arms,” featuring beloved artists Buddy Greene, Jeff & Sheri Easter, and Charlotte Ritchie. This event is more than just a concert; it’s a heartfelt celebration of faith, community, and the timeless messages found in gospel music.

When performed by seasoned artists like Buddy Greene—who not only sings but also plays his signature harmonica—the message resonates even more deeply. Greene’s heartfelt performance adds a unique touch that makes you feel like you’re right there with him, singing along in your living room. Now let’s talk about Jeff & Sheri Easter and Charlotte Ritchie. Each brings their own style and flair to this musical gathering, blending harmonies that are simply out of this world. Jeff & Sheri Easter have been beloved figures in gospel music for years. Their chemistry as a duo is palpable, and when they sing together, it’s as if they’re weaving a tapestry of sound that envelops listeners in warmth.

The Gaither Vocal Band was founded in the early ’80s by renowned Christian music leader Bill Gaither. GVB became one of America’s leading southern gospel vocal groups. While Bill Gaither remained the only original member of the ensemble, many well-regarded CCM/gospel singers have passed through the band’s ranks, including Russ Taff, Guy Penrod, Wes Hampton, Michael English, Mark Lowry, and David Phelps. Today, the Gaither Vocal Band roster is comprised of five power-packed voices, including Bill Gaither, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles and Reggie Smith.

Leaning on the Everlasting Arms Lyrics

What a fellowship, what a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

What have I to dread? What have I to fear?
Leaning on the everlasting arms
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near
Leaning on the everlasting arms

Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms

The Greatest Gift of All lyrics

Dawn Is Slowly Breaking
Our Friends Have All Gone Home
You And I Are Waiting
For Christmas morn To Come
There’s A Present By The Tree
Stockings On The Wall
But Knowing You’re In Love With Me
Is The Greatest Gift Of All

The Fire Is Slowly Fading
Chill Is In The Air
All The Gifts Are Waiting
For Children Everywhere
Through The Window I Can See
Snow Begin To Fall
Knowing You’re In Love With Me
Is The Greatest Gift Of All

Just Before I Go To Sleep
I Hear A Church Bell Ring
Merry Christmas Everyone
Is The Song It Sings
So I Say A Silent Prayer
For Creatures Great And Small
Peace On Earth, Good Will To Men
Is The Greatest Gift Of All

Peace On Earth, Good Will To Men
Is The Greatest Gift Of All

Lord, I’m Ready To Go Home

James and Jeff Easter with Morgan Easter

Through the valleys of this life I have wondered

And I′ve worked for Jesus all along the way

But now life’s evening sun, for me is setting

I have reached the ending of my way

Lord, I′ve been faithful in the service you have given

And the harvest of the fields, Lord, I have done

But now, my steps are growing weary

Lord, I’m waiting, I’m ready to go home

Looking back upon the life I′ve lived for Jesus

I can see how he has blessed me all the way

And each tear I shed just helped to keep me humble

And each burden only taught me how to pray

Lord, I′ve been faithful in the service you have given

And the harvest of the fields, Lord, I have done

But now, my steps are growing weary

Lord, I’m waiting, I′m ready to go home

Though I hate to leave so many friends behind me

And the parting of our way will break my heart

But I’ll wait for them inside the gates of heaven

Where the children of God will never part

Lord I′ve been faithful in the service you have given

And the harvest of the fields, Lord, I have done

But now, my steps are growing weary

Lord, I’m waiting, I′m ready to go home

Lord I’m waiting, I’m ready to go home
