Chris Tomlin made a beautiful rendition of the old hymn Oh How Marvelous!  A worship song declaring how wonderful and how marvelous is our Savior’s love for all us. A love undeserved by sinners, condemned to hell, and unclean spirits like most of us. The lyrics of this song I Stand Amazed is so meaningful. This song speaks of the unconditional love of God. We all fall short of the glory of God. But God, being rich in love and mercy, demonstrated His love for us. While we are still sinners, Jesus died for us so we can have our sins forgiven forever and have peace with our heavenly Father.

CHRIS TOMLIN SHORT BIO

Christopher Dwayne “Chris” Tomlin (born May 4, 1972) is an American Christian Contemporary Music artist, worship leader, and songwriter from Grand Saline, Texas, United States. He was a staff member at Austin Stone Community Church and is signed to EMI’s sixstepsrecords. Tomlin leads worship at many Passion events. Some of his most well-known songs are “How Great Is Our God“, “Jesus Messiah”, “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)“, and the recent song “Our God” which he co-wrote with Matt Redman, Jesse Reeves and Jonas Myrin. He is currently a worship leader at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia with Louie Giglio and Christy Nockels.

He was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2006, 2007, 2008 GMA Dove Awards, and Grammy Award Winner for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2012. He was named Artist of the Year in 2007. (Source: Wikipedia)

A Poem About The Love of God

The Love of God
boundless as infinity
it is unfathomable
Yet its intensity is like thousands of sun
The Love of God
is no respecter of person
an antidote for poisonous pride
Who you are and what you do is immaterial
For you are special in God’s eyes
The Love of God
brings sinners to repentance
sets the captives free
addiction, bondage, and guilt are history
Grace is the language; Forgiveness is eternity
The Love of God
fills our emptiness and inadequacies
it leads us to a life of purpose
a life well-lived, meaningful one
And that starts in a relationship with Jesus Christ

 

Today is the acceptable day of the Lord
Ask Jesus to come into your life
Surrender your life to Him for He can be trusted
and surely, the love of God will flow in your life abundantly.
I scribbled  this poem while I was sitting in a bench
inside a mall’s playground waiting for my son to finish playing
with other kids.

Pastor Don Moen, an American singer-songwriter, puts it like this in his song:”God will make a way Where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see; He will make a way for me.” That is faith at work. Having an expectant heart from a miracle working God.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6 NKJV) We must first believe that God exist in our world. As we go to Him in worship or in prayer, we recognize His authority in our lives and He promised that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
