There’s Something About That Name

Gaither Vocal Band, Bill Gaither Trio

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
There’s just something about that Name.
Master, Savior, Jesus,
Like the fragrance after the rain.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Let all heaven and earth proclaim,
Kings and kingdoms will pass away,
But there’s something about that Name.

Beautiful Gospel Song by Randy Travis: Just A Closer Walk With Thee

Randy Travis did a great version of this classic gospel song. He is such a great country singer! “Just a Closer Walk with Thee” is a traditional gospel song that has been performed and recorded by many artists. The lyrics were inspired by the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:7 which says: “We walk by faith, not by sight,” and James 4:8 which says: “Come near to God and He will come near to you.” Be blessed!

Just a Closer Walk With Thee Lyrics

Randy Travis

I am weak but Thou art strong
Jesus keep me from all wrong
I’ll be satisfied as long as I walk
Dear Lord, close to Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walkin’ close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Through this world of toils and snares
If I falter Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

Just a closer walk with Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walkin’ close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

When my feeble life is o’er
And time for me will be no more
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom dear Lord, to Thy shore.

Just a closer walk with Thee
Grant it Jesus, is my plea
Daily walkin’ close to Thee
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

“Praise His Name” – Powerful Song by Jeff & Sheri Easter and Charlotte Ritchie

There is hope. And that hope is in Christ alone. He is the hope of glory. In life, we experience so much trials, tribulations, and even persecutions but as followers of Christ, we will not run out of help. He is always there for us and will never be against us. Let us rest in His hands. Praise His Name!

Jeff & Sheri Easter have won several awards through their career. Among them: 5 Dove Awards, 2 Grammy Award nominations and 2 International Country Gospel Music Association Awards. Jeff Easter and Sheri Williamson met in August 1984 during the Albert E. Brumley Sundown to Sunup Gospel Sing in Arkansas. At the time, Jeff was the bassist for the Singing Americans, while Sheri was performing with The Lewis Family. After being introduced, they married ten months later. After that, Jeff and Sheri traveled and performed as part of The Lewis Family, until they decided to pursue a career alone in 1988. Since that, they have released several albums and have been nominated for various awards. Jeff & Sherri Easter have been frequent performers on the Gaither Homecoming videos and recordings. Praise His Name Lyrics

Song by Jeff & Sheri Easter

When you’re up against a wall and your mountain seems so tall
And you realize that life’s not always fair
You can run away and hide, let the old man decide
Or you can change your circumstances with a prayer

When everything falls apart praise His name
When you have a broken heart raise your hands and say
Lord, You’re all I need, You’re everything to me
And He’ll take the pain away

When it seem you’re all alone praise His name
When you feel you can’t go on just raise your hands and say
Greater is He that is within me
And you can praise the hurt away if you’ll just praise His name

Oh, you can overcome by the blood of the lamb
And by the word of your testimony
You’ll see the darkness go as your faith begins to grow
You’re not alone so how can you be lonely

When everything falls apart praise His name
When you have a broken heart raise your hands and say
Lord, You’re all I need, You’re everything to me
And He’ll take the pain away

When it seem you’re all alone praise His name
When you feel you can’t go on just raise your hands and say
Greater is He that is within me
And you can praise the hurt away (And you can praise the hurt away)
Greater is He that is within me
You can praise the hurt away if you’ll just praise His name

“Holy Highway”- Gaither Vocal Band, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound

A highway will be there, a roadway,
And it will be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean will not travel on it,
But it will be for the one who walks that way,
And fools will not wander on it.

Holy Highway Lyrics

Song by Ernie Haase and Gaither Vocal Band

There’s a road called the holy highway that once was a desert land.
Very soon you’ll hear the sound of a holy marching band and.
Everlasting joy upon them, there’s a remnant strong and true.
We bring the song back to Zion; we bring the praise back to you.

We exalt You, God Almighty, You are worthy to be praised.
Let all nations bow before You, Holy Ancient of all days.
There’s a road called the holy highway, where the people dance and shout.
For the enemy is running with confusion all about.

Raise our banners in the victory; raise them high His word is true.
We bring our song back to Zion, we bring the praise back to you.
Repeat We exalt You, God Almighty, You are worthy to be praised.
Let all nations bow before You, Holy Ancient of all days.

Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty.
Holy, holy holy is the Lord.
Halelujah, halelujah, halelujah.
We bring the song back to Zion
We bring the praise back to You.

There’s a road called the holy highway that once was a desert land.
Very soon you’ll hear the sound of a holy marching band and.
Everlasting joy upon them, there’s a remnant strong and true.
We bring the song back to Zion; we bring the praise back to you.
Repeat We exalt You, God Almighty, You are worthy to be praised.
Let all nations bow before You, Holy Ancient of all days.

Alan Jackson Sings “The Old Rugged Cross” (Live in Concert)

Alan Jackson performed the classic hymn The Old Rugged Cross written by an American hymn composer and preacher named George Bennard. It such a beautiful performance by one of the legends of Country Music!

The lyrics of The Old Rugged Cross are testament of how powerful the truth about our faith in Christ as evidenced by the cross. Here are some lines that really spells the message of the cross:

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

Alan Jackson Old Rugged Cross Live

“To some, the image of a pale body glimmering on a dark night whispers of defeat. What good is a God who does not control his Son’s suffering? But another sound can be heard: the shout of a God crying out to human beings, “I LOVE YOU.” Love was compressed for all history in that lonely figure on the cross, who said that he could call down angels at any moment on a rescue mission, but chose not to – because of us. At Calvary, God accepted his own unbreakable terms of justice.Any discussion of how pain and suffering fit into God’s scheme ultimately leads back to the cross. ”- Philip Yancey

About Alan Jackson
Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. He grew up singing gospel music, both in church and at home with his family, and as a teenager he performed locally as part of a country duo. He left school to work and married his high-school sweetheart, Denise, who worked as an airline stewardess. In 1989, Jackson became the first artist signed to Arista’s new country division. Jackson’s debut album, Here in the Real World, was issued in 1990 and became a platinum-selling hit on the strength of four Top Five hits: the title cut, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” “Wanted,” and the first of many chart-toppers, “I’d Love You All Over Again.” He shot to full-fledged superstardom with the follow-up, 1991’s Don’t Rock the Jukebox, whose title track was an inescapable number one smash that year.
