Willie Nelson – Just as I Am (Live From Austin City Limits, 1976)

Just as I Am Lyrics

Just as I am, without one plea
But that thy blood was shed for me
And that thou bidst me come to thee
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot
To thee whose blood can cleanse each spot
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt
Fightings and fears within, without
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind
Sight, riches, healing of the mind
Yea, all I need in thee to find
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

Just as I am, thou wilt receive
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve
Because thy promise I believe
O Lamb of God, I come, I come

“Amazing Grace” Lyrics

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now I am found
Was blind, but now I see.

T’was grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

Through many dangerous toils, and snares
I have already come
T’is grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun
We’ve known less days to sing God’s grace
Than when we first begun…

“The Anchor Holds” – Gaither Featuring Donnie Sumner Live at Red Rocks Amphitheater

This is a very touching performance of this famous gospel song “The Anchor Holds” by Donnie Sumner. Originally written by Ray Boltz, it brings so much encouragement and hope especially for those who are deeply struggling with addictions or life battles. There is hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Anchor of our souls. Let’s cry out to Him for help. He will get us through. The Anchor will surely hold!

Donnie Sumner, raised the son of a minister, is no new comer to the world of Christian music. Since childhood his favorite form of entertainment has been GOSPEL MUSIC with styles ranging from “Foot-stompin’ – hand-clappin’ revival tunes” to what has become known in today’s market as contemporary sacred music. Having devoted over forty years of his own life to the world of music, Donnie has carried on the tradition of others in his family who have also made their mark in this industry. Donnie is the nephew of the late J. D. SUMNER, nationally acclaimed as the “world’s lowest bass singer.” Both Donnie and J. D. were closely associated with the late ELVIS PRESLEY on both his stage appearances and his recordings. (Source: donniesumner.com)

The Anchor Holds

Ray Boltz

I have journeyed
Through the long, dark night
Out on the open sea

By faith alone
Sight unknown
And yet His eyes were watching me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I’ve had visions
I’ve had dreams
I’ve even held them in my hand

But I never knew
They would slip right through
Like they were only grains of sand

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I have been young
But I am older now
And there has been beauty
That these eyes have seen

But it was in the night
Through the storms of my life
Oh, that’s where God proved
His love to me

The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm

Watch Alan Jackson Soulful Version of the Hymn “Blessed Assurance”

Alan Jackson is truly an amazing country singer. He put life into the lyrics of this song entitled Blessed Assurance. This song is an old gospel hymn which conveys the only way to heaven: Jesus is the Way. The only assurance of our citizenship in heaven.

In the Book of Acts we read that about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”
The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” (Acts 16: 25-31) Believing is putting our trust in Jesus Christ. We fully surrender to Him all areas of our lives. It’s when we die to our fleshly nature when Jesus lives in us.

Blessed Assurance Lyrics

Blessed assurance Jesus is mine
O what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation, purchase of God
Born of his spirit washed in his blood

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight
Angels descending bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long

This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Savior all the day long
Praising my Savior all the day long

Alan Jackson Sings Classic Hymns “Are You Washed In The Blood & I’ll Fly Away”

Allan Jackson, one of the all-time top favorite country singers, sings these classic hymns “Are You Washed in the Blood” and “I’ll Fly Away.” The message of these hymns are timeless and it’s a powerful declaration of the redeeming power of the blood of our Lord Jesus. Jesus is the perfect sacrifice for all our sins and without the shedding of His blood, there will be no forgiveness of sin. He became high priest interceding for us at the right hand of the God in heaven.

About Alan Jackson

Alan Jackson was born in the small town of Newnan, Georgia, on October 17, 1958. He grew up singing gospel music, both in church and at home with his family, and as a teenager he performed locally as part of a country duo. He left school to work and married his high-school sweetheart, Denise, who worked as an airline stewardess. In 1989, Jackson became the first artist signed to Arista’s new country division. Jackson’s debut album, Here in the Real World, was issued in 1990 and became a platinum-selling hit on the strength of four Top Five hits: the title cut, “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow,” “Wanted,” and the first of many chart-toppers, “I’d Love You All Over Again.” He shot to full-fledged superstardom with the follow-up, 1991’s Don’t Rock the Jukebox, whose title track was an inescapable number one smash that year.

Are You Washed in the Blood

Song by Alan Jackson

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

Are you washed in the blood
In the soul-cleansing blood of the lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin
And be washed in the blood of the lamb
There’s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean
O, be washed in the blood of the lamb

Are you washed in the blood
In the soul-cleansing blood of the lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?
