About Buddy Greene

Buddy Greene has been performing for audiences since the tender age of ten, but his first big break came when, as a young man, he landed a position in country superstar Jerry Reed’s band. As rhythm guitarist, singer, and harmonicist, Buddy’s four year stint with Reed proved to be the ideal apprenticeship that included appearing on numerous TV shows and recordings as well as touring extensively throughout the country. He is a featured performer with gospel greats Bill and Gloria Gaither. Over the last 30+ years, Buddy has performed across America, made numerous trips abroad, and released twenty recording projects. His album Sojourner’s Song won the Gospel Music Association’s Dove award for Best Country Album, and he has received 9 other Dove award nominations. About Kris Kristofferson

Kris Kristofferson was born on June 22, 1936, Brownsville, Texas, U.S.A. He is an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for his gravelly voice and rugged good looks and a string of country music hits, notably “Me and Bobby McGee,” “Help Me Make It Through the Night,” “For the Good Times,” and “Once More with Feeling.” He was an Oxford scholar, a defensive back, a bartender, a Golden Gloves boxer, a gandy dancer, a forest-fighter, a road crew member, and an Army Ranger who flew helicopters. He was a peacenik, a revolutionary, an actor, a superstar, a Casanova, and a family man. He was almost a teacher at West Point, though he gave that up to become a Nashville songwriting bum. Kristofferson was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004. Wintley Phipps, an internationally known baritone singer, was born in Trinidad, West Indies, and grew up in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In those formative years he was surrounded by music of the church. Following graduation from Kingsway College, a Seventh-day Adventist high school near Toronto, Ontario, he attended Oakwood College, now University, in the 1970s, where he studied music theory and began writing gospel music. After graduating in 1976 with a degree in theology, he continued his education by attending Andrews University, where he completed an M.Div. in 1979. Oakwood University awarded him its first honorary doctorate in 2010.  Since graduating from AU, Phipps has served simultaneously as a minister, acclaimed singer and writer of religious music, and innovator in programs that offer hope to children and youth. With his distinctive resonant baritone voice, he has witnessed through music in a way that has earned him international recognition. He earned two Emmy nominations in 1988 and 1989 for his writing, has given numberless concerts, and sung at prayer breakfasts and other special occasions for Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Her arrangement of “God On The Mountain” is the most popular video on the Gaither Music TV YouTube Channel with over 58 million views. Garnering a Dove Award for her 2004 recording A Tribute To Mahalia Jackson, Randle has performed at a Billy Graham Crusade; was among the official entertainers for the 98th National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in 2020; and also made her Grand Ole Opry debut.
