This is a beautiful version of the classic hymn I’ll Fly Away by famous singers that included John Denver, Johnny Cash, Roger Miller, Mary Kay Place, and Glenn Campbell. This was recorded in the ABC television special “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” on March 22, 1977. Enjoy a this performance!
I’LL FLY AWAY LYRICS Some glad morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away; To a home on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).
Chorus I’ll fly away, Oh Glory I’ll fly away; (in the morning) When I die, Hallelujah, by and by, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away).
When the shadows of this life have gone, I’ll fly away; Like a bird from prison bars has flown, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)
Just a few more weary days and then, I’ll fly away; To a land where joy shall never end, I’ll fly away (I’ll fly away)

The sun will not beat down on them,’nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ ”

Watch this beautiful live performance of top country singers: Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson, & Melanie Cannon of the popular southern gospel song Sweet Beulah Land at the prestigious Grand Ole Opre stage. This gospel song was written and composed by Squire Parsons in 1973 and released in 1979. It became the number one Southern Gospel single and received the Singing News Fan Awards for Song of the Year (as popularized by Squire Parsons and The Kingsmen) in 1981. It became an anthem for other gospel singers like The Gaithers Choir, Casting Crowns, Caroll Roberson, and many others!
The message of this song is of a beautiful promise for every Christian believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress gives the following definition of the term Land of Beulah: “the peaceful land in which the pilgrim awaits the call to the Celestial City.”
Sweet Beulah Land Lyrics
By Squire Parsons
I’m kind of homesick for a country To which I’ve never been before. No sad goodbyes will there be spoken For time won’t matter anymore.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I’m longing for you (I’m longing for you) And some day (And some day) on thee I’ll stand (Someday we will stand) There my home (There my home) shall be eternal (Eternal) Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land
I’m looking now, just across the river To where my faith, shall end in sight (Shall end in sight) There’s just a few more days to labor. Then I will take my heavenly flight.
Beulah Land (Beulah Land) I’m longing for you (I’m longing for you) And some day (And some day) on thee I’ll stand (Someday we will stand) There my home (There my home) shall be eternal Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land Beulah Land, oh it’s Beulah Land Oh Beulah Land, sweet Beulah Land

Watch this conversation between Ray Comfort and a young man. It made me realize how important for every Christian to be bold and speak The Truth to the perishing world. This took me to the Word of God in Romans 10:14-15: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Let our light so shine and do what God commanded us to do and that is: win souls for Christ.

“I am not going to Heaven because I have preached to great crowds or read the Bible many times. I’m going to Heaven just like the thief on the cross who said in that last moment: ‘Lord, remember me.’” – Billy Graham
To be a soul winner is the happiest thing in this world. And with every soul you bring to Jesus Christ, you seem to get a new heaven here upon earth. – Charles Spurgeon
