In Remembrance: Whitney Houston Singing Gospel Medley

Whitney Houston Gospel MedleyWhitney Houston was a gospel singer. At the age of 11, Whitney Houston began to follow in her mother’s footsteps and started performing as a soloist in the junior gospel choir at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, where she also learned to play the piano. Guinness World Records cited Whitney Houston as the most-awarded female act of all time.Whitney Houston’s awards include two Emmy Awards, six Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, and 22 American Music Awards, among a total of 415 career awards in her lifetime. Whitney was also one of the world’s best-selling music artists, having sold over 170 million albums, singles and videos worldwide. (Wikipedia)

In one of the videos I watched, Whitney Houston said: “It’s really wonderful to be here tonight. It is even more wonderful than usual because I got to take part in a salute to the music I love best. The music that gave my roots. The words of Gospel music glorify God.”

Bishop TD Jakes on Whitney Houston: “We ask the world to join us in lifting up Whitney’s family in prayer and ask God for their strength and comfort during this devastatingly difficult time… She has left behind a musical and film legacy that will endure…. she will be sorely missed by us all.” (from Daystar TV Facebook Status)

Christopher Duffley 10-Year-Old Blind Autistic Boy Sings “Open the Eyes of my Heart”

Christopher Duffley Open the Eyes of My Heart Christopher Duffley is a very inspiring young man to watch. His video singing Open the Eyes of My Heart in one Sunday Service will blew you away of his God-given unique gift. Christopher Duffley is no ordinary kid having been born autistic and blind. His story is admirable. He was adopted by his parents and later on discovered that Christopher is a gifted child. He is a very special young man using his talent for the glory and honor of his Lord Jesus. He sings in their church’s music ministry.

In a huge worship gathering in New Hampshire, people have witnessed and blessed by his amazing God given talent. It reminds me that we don’t have to be perfect to be used by God for His glory. We just have to be willing to be used by God.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150:6

Reasons People Don’t Go To Church

Reasons People Don't Go To ChurchDo you know the reasons why some people don’t go to church? Of course you do and you can’t think of the tiniest to the major reasons. There are several reasons but the most common reasons are presented on this clip. Just to put things straight, going to Church or joining a particular religion does not give us eternal salvation, but more on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ when put our trust in Him as our Lord and savior.

Church is not the four wall building but it’s a community of Christian believers doing life together.

The Parable of the Fishless Fishermen’s Fellowship

The Parable of the Fishless Fishermen's FellowshipAs Christians, we are expected to share the Good News. We are ambassadors of Christ sharing the Gospel to the hostile world. Jesus said in Matthew 28: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Sometimes we are easily caught up of endless activities and not taking our message beyond to four walls of our Churches.

On this clip, Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne presents an illustration about evangelism for Christians everywhere. Taken from The Way of the Master, Season Four, Mission: Europe, Prague. E.Z. is the Executive Vice President of the the Living Waters Ministries.
