Listening, watching, or hearing testimonies of people on how they found Jesus are simply too precious. Testimonies strengthen one’s faith. In the Book of Romans, Chapter 10 verse 17 it says: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Like in a court of law, the testimonies of witnesses are very useful and crucial to determine the guilt or innocent of the person accused of a crime. And therefore, as followers of Christ, we need to bring our stories or testimonies out. Let us continue to pray for opportunities to share them. There is power in testifying about our faith in Jesus Christ because it’s personal, relevant, and anointed.
Here is the testimony of Shawn McDonald. “Shawn is a Contemporary Christian music (CCM) singer, songwriter and guitarist. As a child, McDonald lived with his grandparents because his parents could not take care of him. Not really understanding the situation, he became rebellious. He would sneak out of the house, drink alcohol, get intoxicated, and later use drugs. He ended up living on the streets where he grew up and sold drugs for money.” (source: Wikipedia)

There is always HOPE! This film is a story of a Pastor named Ed Dobson, who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and was given a short time to live. I watched the trailer video below and the narrative is so moving. It deals with one of the most difficult questions affecting our Christian Faith particularly human suffering.
Suffering can make or break us. It can change our life’s perspectives for better or for worse. It can bring about worries, mental, emotional, or spiritual fatigue. Pastor Ed Dobson tells his story about battling a disease that has no cure and was given only few months to live.
Ed’s Story: A Seven-Part Film Series about Hope Movie Trailer
Film One – It Ain’t Over
Ed’s Story is our story. Diagnosed with ALS and given a short time to live, Ed Dobson wrestles with issues suffering raises: worry, identity, forgiveness, gratitude, and healing. What emerges in this 7-film series is his discovery that there is always hope.
ED’S STORY: Film Two — Consider the Birds
Sometimes worry can come in waves and be overwhelming. We try so hard to control our lives, when in face we have no control over the future. Ed discovered that it is hard to find God when we are worried about tomorrow; but when we live in the moment, He is right there with us.
ED’S STORY: Film Three — Be There
When people around us suffer, it’s only natural to want to help. But what can you say when someone’s life falls apart and suffering becomes their reality? Ed learned that sometimes the answer is to “show up and shut up.” Perhaps just being present can bring more comfort, peace, and a sense of God’s presence than words ever could.

If you enjoy variety of music like I do, you will love this version of the popular Christmas carol, Joy to the World, by the Third Day. “This band is a Grammy award-winning Christian rock band formed in Marietta, Georgia during the 1990s. It was founded by lead singer Mac Powell, guitarist Mark Lee and former member Billy Wilkins. The band’s name is a reference to the biblical account of Jesus’ rising from the dead on the third day following his crucifixion. The band was inducted in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame on September 19, 2009. (Source: wikipedia)”
Joy to the world, the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature sing
Joy to the world, the Savior reigns Let saints, their songs employ While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains Repeat the sounding joy Repeat the sounding joy Repeat, repeat the sounding joy
He rules the world with truth and grace And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness And wonders of His love And wonders of His love And wonders, wonders, of His love
Who is Jesus? Why do we look up to Him? Do you know Him? Here’s is some thoughts about Jesus.
.
“A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic – on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg – or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.” C.S. Lewis, British author (1898-1963)
.
“I am an historian, I am not a believer, but I must confess as a historian that this penniless preacher from Nazareth is irrevocably the very center of history. Jesus Christ is easily the most dominant figure in all history.“H.G. Wells, British author (1866-1946)
.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – Jesus Christ (John 14:6) .
