He Walks With Me Lyrics
Merle Haggard
I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear falling on my ear The son of God discloses
And he walks with me and he talks with me And he tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of his voice is so sweet The birds hush their singing And the melody that he gave to me Within my heart is ringing
And he walks with me and he talks with me And he tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known
Here is another powerful message of the late Rev. David Wilkerson entitled “The Need in You and How to Meet It.” It’s true we all have needs. Broken marriage, wounded feelings, betrayal, unforgiveness, addiction, just to mention few. Where are these coming from? David Wilkerson reminds us that if we are willing to let go of what we love, that holds us back from receiving God’s provision, then He will work. But it’s really up to us to make those decision as led by the Holy Spirit. Be blessed and do not forget to share this post if you find it valuable.
Reverend David Wilkerson was the Founding Pastor of Times Square Church in New York City. He was called to New York in 1958 to minister to gang members and drug addicts, as told in the best-selling book, The Cross and the Switchblade. April 27, 2011. Reverend David Wilkerson was killed in a car crash in Texas on April 27, 2011
This is a very special song in a traditional setting. Yes, you guess it right. It is a picture of how a Church should come together in praise and worship! Not the concert type or decorating the stage with disco lights and smoke. We need to go back to the old country church where people can just come and sing along!!! Amen? Be blessed by this Gaither gospel song “The Old Country Church”lead by James Blackwood, Jack Toney, Squire Parsons, Ben Speer, George Younce, Ernie Haase, and Glen Payne.
“The Gaither Vocal Band is an American southern gospel vocal group, named after its founder and leader Bill Gaither. Founded in the early ’80s, Gaither Vocal Band is one of America’s leading faith-based vocal groups. While Gaither remained the only original member of the ensemble, many well-regarded CCM/gospel singers have passed through the band’s ranks, including Russ Taff, Guy Penrod, Wes Hampton, Michael English, Mark Lowry, and David Phelps. On March 1, 2017, it was announced that the Gaither Vocal Band lineup consisted of Reggie Smith, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Bill Gaither. Although the group started out recording contemporary Christian music in the 1980s, it became known for southern gospel after the popularity of the Gaither Homecoming videos.” (Source: Wikipedia)
The Old Country Church Lyrics
Oh, I’d like to go back To that old country church To hear the songs of praise (Songs of praise) How the people would sing It would make the rafters ring At that old, at that old country church
Shall we gather at the river The beautiful, the beautiful river Gather with the saints at the river That flows from the throne of God
Oh, I’ll never forget At that old country church How the glory of the Lord came down And the children would smile As they shouted down the aisle Of that old, of that old country church
In the sweet bye and bye We shall meet on that beautiful shore In the sweet bye and bye We shall meet on that beautiful shore
Then on sunday I’d see All my friends dear to me At that old (at that old) Country church (country church) When we’d kneel down to pray’r Everybody would be there At that old (at that old) Country church
Leaning (leaning) Leaning (I’m leaning) Safe and secure from all alarm Leaning (leaning, leaning) Leaning (I’m leaning) Leaning on the everlasting arm
Now the years have gone by And so many have died At that old country church (country church) But they’re on the other shore Where they’ll sing forever more As they did at that old country church
I’m redeemed (oh, I’m redeemed) By Love Divine (by Love Divine) Oh, glory, glory (Christ is mine) Christ is mine (Christ is mine) Oh, to Him (oh, to him) I now resign (I now resign) (I have been) I have been redeemed
I’m redeemed (oh, I’m redeemed) By Love Divine (by Love Divine) Oh, glory, glory (Hallelujah) Christ is mine (He is mine) Oh, to Him (oh, to him) I now resign (I now resign) (I have been) I have been redeemed
At that old country church
I’m redeemed (oh, I’m redeemed) By Love Divine (by Love Divine) Oh, glory, glory (Christ is mine) Christ is mine (Christ is mine) Oh, to Him (oh, to him) I now resign (I now resign) (I have been) I have been redeemed
I’m redeemed (oh, I’m redeemed) By Love Divine (by Love Divine) Oh, glory, glory (Christ is mine) Christ is mine (Christ is mine) Oh, to Him (oh, to him) I now resign (I now resign) (I have been) I have been redeemed!
“Never build your case for forgiveness on the idea that God is our Father and He will forgive us because He loves us. That contradicts the revealed truth of God in Jesus Christ. It makes the Cross unnecessary, and the redemption “much ado about nothing.” God forgives sin only because of the death of Christ. God could forgive people in no other way than by the death of His Son, and Jesus is exalted as Savior because of His death. “We see Jesus . . . for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor . . .” (Hebrews 2:9). The greatest note of triumph ever sounded in the ears of a startled universe was that sounded on the Cross of Christ— “It is finished!” (John 19:30). That is the final word in the redemption of humankind.” – Oswald Chambers
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

Oh Lord my God When I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout The universe displayed
Then sings my soul My Saviour, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art Then sings my soul My Saviour, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art
When Christ shall come With shouts of acclamation And take me home What joy shall fill my heart Then I shall bow In humble adoration And there proclaim my God How great Thou art
Then sings my soul My Saviour, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art Then sings my soul My Saviour, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art
