Be Inspired! It's All About Jesus

“Loving God, Loving Each Other” – The Oak Ridge Boys and Gaither Vocal Band [Live]

As I listen to this song, the Holy Spirit pointed to me these Bible verses: “Teacher, which commandment is the greatest in the Law?” Jesus declared, “?‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:36-40) These two are the greatest commandments of our Heavenly Father to us. It’s all about obedience to these commands that would please Him dearly. Be blessed as you watch this video of “Loving God, Loving Each Other” by the Oak Ridge Boys and Gaither Vocal Band.

The Gaither Vocal Band was founded in the early ’80s by renowned Christian music leader Bill Gaither. GVB became one of America’s leading southern gospel vocal groups. While Bill Gaither remained the only original member of the ensemble, many well-regarded CCM/gospel singers have passed through the band’s ranks, including Russ Taff, Guy Penrod, Wes Hampton, Michael English, Mark Lowry, and David Phelps. Today, the Gaither Vocal Band roster is comprised of five power-packed voices, including Bill Gaither, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles and Reggie Smith.

Loving God, Loving Each Other

Gaither Vocal Band

Loving God, loving each other
Making music with my friends
Loving God, loving each other
And the story never ends

They pushed back from the table
To listen to His words
His secret plan before He had to go
It’s not complicated
Don’t need a lot of rules
This is all you’ll need to know

Loving God, loving each other
Making music with my friends
Loving God, loving each other
And the story never ends

We tend to make it harder
Build steeples out of stone
Fill books with explanations of The Way
But if we’d stop and listen
And break a little bread
We would hear the Master say

Loving God, loving each other
Making music with my friends
Loving God, loving each other
And the story never ends

Loving God, loving each other
Making music with my friends
Loving God, loving each other
And the story never ends
And the story never ends
Oh the story never ends.

  1. My name is Judy Hall. I’m coming to you to ask a question but first the reason why. My step father ( Carl Kellogg) is in his mid 80s. His wife died a while back. Last year he lost 4 brothers 1 great grandaughter and his beloved compaion. That’s alot for anyone. November is his birthday. We don’t think we will have him next year. Is it possible for the Gaithersburg to stop and say hello maybe do a song? When I was homeless he took me in when I and my children were hungrey he fed us when I was cold he bought me and my kids warm cloths. Thank you is not enough. After mom died he went silent I asked what does dad like? I was told the Gaithersburg Band. I saved and saved for Christmas that year I bought him a CD player ( he never owned one) then I bought many CDs of the Gaithersburg Band. He didn’t know how to work a CD player but soon learned. He cried he has never been given such an expensive gift. He has never and I mean never had a vacation. I am 64 had open heart surgery and now cancer. Yes I am very poor but happy. My home phone number is 570-937-9238 please call me and leave a message as multiple people use my phone. November is his surprise birthday his grandaughter is giving him as we don’t know if dad will be here next year. I respectfully and humbly thank you for your time. Thank you Judy Hall
