Watch this powerful rendition of the classic Gaither Vocal Band song “I Bowed On My Knees” in concert in Toronto, Canada with Michael English. It’s undeniable that these men really can sing and the message of the song is so amazing! What a blessing to hear this gospel song for the first time! Highly recommended. Be blessed as you watch.
The Gaither Vocal Band was founded in the early ’80s by renowned Christian music leader Bill Gaither. GVB became one of America’s leading southern gospel vocal groups. While Bill Gaither remained the only original member of the ensemble, many well-regarded CCM/gospel singers have passed through the band’s ranks, including Russ Taff, Guy Penrod, Wes Hampton, Michael English, Mark Lowry, and David Phelps. Today, the Gaither Vocal Band roster is comprised of five power-packed voices, including Bill Gaither, Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles and Reggie Smith.

I Bowed On My Knees Lyrics
Gaither Vocal Band
I dreamed of a city called Glory,
So bright and so fair.
When I entered the gates I cried, “Holy”
The angels all met me there.
They carried me from mansion to mansion,
And oh, the sights I saw,
Then I said, “I want to see Jesus,
‘Cause He’s the One who died for all!”
I bowed on my knees and cried,
“Holy, Holy, Holy.”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory,
Glory to the Son of God.”
Then as I entered the gates of that city,
My loved ones all knew me well.
They took me down the streets of Heaven;
Oh, the scenes were too many to tell;
I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac,
I talked with Mark and Timothy.
Oh, but I said, “I want to see Jesus,
The One who died for me!”
Oh, I bowed on my knees and cried,
“Holy, I cried Holy, I cried Holy.”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I clapped my hands and sang, “Glory”
I sang, “Glory to the Son of God.”

I love that song. My exwife and I used to sing it at church. God bless all of you.

Beautiful and could listen over and over! What a sight it will be once we are in His presence and able to look upon His face! Yet I wonder if He is will be so bright with light if we will be able to see him! Nonetheless we shall be on His presence and we too can shout Holy!
Thanks for sharing this!

Loved seeing Michael English doing Bowed on my Knees. First heard him sing this song with The Singing Americans in the 80s! So glad he is singing again over the last few years!
