This is a wonderful song called The Salvation Poem written by Matt & Sherry Mcpherson. Recently, The Salvation Poem was featured in one of the episodes of the popular kids’ show, Superbook, entitled “The First Christmas.” The song is about an invitation for a relationship with Jesus Christ. A free gift of salvation that is available to all people. We have to remember that Jesus is still the greatest Christmas gift of all time.
“But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matthew 1:20-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
“Jesus You died upon a cross
And rose again to save the lost
Forgive me now of all my sin
Come be my Savior, Lord, and Friend
Change my life and make it new And help me Lord to live for You
Change my life and make it new And help me Lord to live for You”
